As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Repairs connector sync hung for several days, causing board-pack query to slow to over one minute. Olivia Grant rebuilt the index; query performance restored with nightly refresh.
Problem: Helen Marsden reported the board-pack query, used for monthly board reporting, taking over a minute instead of seconds. Urgency was high: the board meeting was the following week.
Handling: Olivia Grant checked the execution plan (normal) and investigation showed the repairs connector sync had been hanging since Thursday morning. Platform team rebuilt the index and query returned to normal with the next nightly refresh.
Watch: Board-level reliance indicates strong engagement, but connector hangs represent data freshness risk. Proactive monitoring needed to prevent recurrence.

- created · Helen Marsden 9 Jun 2025 10:47The board-pack query is running much slower than it should. I've tried it twice this morning and it's consistently slow, taking over a minute now when it should return in seconds. This is the monthly query we use for the board section, pulling tenant and repairs data together. I need this to be reliable for next week's board meeting. Can you check what's happening on your end?
- Public reply · Olivia Grant 9 Jun 2025 11:59I've picked this up. Just so I've got this right, the board-pack query is returning slowly, but it was fast before? Can you tell me: - How long is it taking now? - How many records does it usually return? - Has anything changed recently: new data, updated filters, anything on your system? Once I've got those details I can check the logs on our end and work out what's happened. Thanks, Olivia
- Public reply · Olivia Grant 11 Jun 2025 09:38I've looked at the query on our side, the execution plan looks normal, so nothing wrong with the syntax. Can you run it once more and tell me what time it started and finished? That'll help me track down the change. Thanks, Olivia
- Public reply · Helen Marsden 11 Jun 2025 13:47I've just run it again and it's taking much longer than before, several minutes now. These don't reconcile with what we saw last month. The board will ask questions if the data isn't moving reliably. I need to understand what's changed. Can you show me the source of this slowdown? Kind regards, Helen
- Public reply · Helen Marsden 13 Jun 2025 09:31Any update on this? I need to be confident the query is stable before the board meeting next week. Kind regards, Helen
- Internal note · Olivia Grant 13 Jun 2025 10:52Index stale, repairs connector sync had been hanging since Thursday morning. Rebuilt index, query now returning quickly. Fix live with next nightly refresh.
