What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Demo on 25 Sep 2024 to Saltdean Hart's operations, systems and claims leads, run on a sample of their own exports. Strong fit with claims and renewals pain. Growth was positioned, with Abi Coombes to be comfortable before signing.
What happened: Priya Raman and Hannah Lowe ran a 45 minute demo on 25 Sep 2024 for Zoe Kendrick, Abi Coombes and Sinead Maguire. Hannah drove it on a sample loaded from exports Abi had sent. Nigel Ferris was not on the call but was named for the next one.
Customer view: Zoe's problem is that claims staff hunt across the policy system, the shared mailbox and old claim notes, and that account executives walk into renewals without the full picture. She liked the dashboards builder because Nigel will want numbers rather than chat.
Commercial: Priya pointed to Growth, covering connectors and the dashboards builder, and named a target of Friday 8 November 2024 for a proposal conversation. Zoe wants Abi comfortable before anything is signed.
Watch: Abi has no Snowflake account today and owns most of the sources. Zoe says the team is stretched this month.

Follow-up
Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Hannah Lowe to send Abi Coombes the connector list and a week-by-week plan in writing.
- Hannah Lowe to put in writing where the data lives inside the customer's Snowflake account.
- Priya Raman to take the proposal to Nigel Ferris and Zoe Kendrick, aiming for 8 Nov 2024.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Abi has no Snowflake environment yet and owns most of the sources, so set-up depends on one person.
- Zoe wants Abi comfortable before signing, and Abi asked for the connector list and a week-by-week plan in writing.
- The Managing Director, Nigel Ferris, was not on this call and has yet to see the proposal.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Growth fits the claims team and account executives, with room for a couple more connectors later.
- The dashboards builder answers Nigel's wish for numbers at a glance.
- Sinead's team wants hands-on training, which Hannah offered as a short session.
Transcript
- Priya RamanMorning, everyone. Can you all hear me alright? I've got Hannah with me, and I can see Zoe and Abi. Sinead, are you there?
- Zoe KendrickMorning. Yes, we can hear you. Sinead's just grabbing a coffee, she's literally walking in now.
- Sinead MaguireSorry, sorry, I'm here. Morning. Claims was a bit of a morning, so.
- Priya RamanNo problem at all, that's why we booked it mid-morning. Right, quick recap so we're all on the same page. Zoe and I spoke last time about the account executives and the claims team, and today is the brain running on a slice of your data rather than a deck. Hannah's going to drive. Happy to make this easy, so shout if anything doesn't make sense.
- Hannah LoweThanks, Priya. Before I share anything, what do you most need to know from the next forty minutes or so? I'd rather spend the time on that than on a tour.
- Zoe KendrickQuick question to start, and it's the one that's on fire for us. Can the claims team see it? Clients ring in, and Sinead's people end up hunting through the policy system, the shared mailbox and the old claim notes. We're stretched this month and it just eats time.
- Sinead MaguireYeah, that's it. A client rings about a motor fleet claim and I've got three windows open before I can say anything useful.
- Hannah LoweRight, that's a good place to begin then. Let me share my screen. Can you see it? Mm, I'll give it a second.
- Abi CoombesYes, I can see it. A bit small, but readable.
- Hannah LoweI'll zoom in. So what you're looking at is a sample set we loaded from the exports Abi sent over, a policy extract, some claim notes and a batch of emails. The short answer to Sinead's problem is that you ask a question in plain English and the brain answers from all of those at once. The longer answer is that it's only as good as what's connected, which we'll come to.
- Hannah LoweSo, let me type something like a client would ask. Which of our landlord clients have an open claim and a renewal coming up soon?
- Sinead MaguireOh. Okay, that's, yeah, that's the sort of thing I'd have to ring someone about.
- Hannah LoweIt lists the clients, and underneath each one it shows where the answer came from, so you can open the claim note or the email behind it. To be precise, it doesn't invent anything. If it can't find a source it says so.
- Zoe KendrickCan I ask about the account executives? They're the other half. They go into a renewal meeting and half the time they don't know the client rang us twice last month.
- Priya RamanThat's exactly the use case we keep seeing, Zoe. Hannah, maybe show the client page.
- Hannah LoweYes. So this is a client page. One page per client, built automatically. Policies, recent emails, open claims, any calls. An account executive opens that before a meeting and they've got the whole picture in a minute.
- Zoe KendrickAnd that updates by itself? Nobody has to type it in?
- Hannah LoweNightly. It refreshes overnight and it's complete before the working day starts. Nobody types anything. That's the point.
- Abi CoombesCan I ask where it actually lives? Because our directors will want to know whether the data leaves the building, so to speak.
- Hannah LoweGood question, and I'll put that in writing for you as well. It's built and run inside your own Snowflake account. So it isn't copied off to a system of ours. You own the data and the environment, we run the brain inside it.
- Abi CoombesRight. We'd need to set that up on our side first, I assume. We don't have anything like that today.
- Hannah LoweUnderstood, and that's part of the implementation. We'd walk you through it and do the heavy lifting. You'd need to give us access and tell us who owns each source. Abi, that would be you for most of them, I'd guess.
- Abi CoombesMostly, yes. The broking system, the mailboxes, and the helpdesk, that's all me. Finance is separate.
- Priya RamanWhich fits with Growth, actually, because that gives you enough connectors to cover those and a couple more later without having to come back to us.
- Sinead MaguireCan I try asking it something? Or is that not allowed on a demo?
- Hannah LowePlease do. Give me a question and I'll type it exactly.
- Sinead MaguireUm. Which clients have complained about how long a claim took in the last few months?
- Hannah LoweRight. It's found a handful. Two are from the emails, one from a claim note where someone wrote that the client was unhappy. It's not perfect, because people don't always write the word complaint, but it's a starting point you'd never get from a search box.
- Sinead MaguireNo, that's, yeah. That would've saved me a Friday afternoon.
- Zoe KendrickCan we build our own views of this? A dashboard of open claims by handler or something? Nigel will want numbers, not chat.
- Hannah LoweYes, Growth includes the dashboards builder. Let me show you a quick one. It's the same questions, saved and laid out, so you'd get a view of open claims, ageing, and renewals due. Your team builds them, we help in the first weeks.
- Zoe KendrickThat I like. Nigel's going to ask what's the bottom line, he always does, so something he can glance at is good.
- Priya RamanAnd Nigel's on the next call with me, so we can put that in front of him then. Just to keep momentum, the plan is a proposal conversation with Nigel and Zoe, and the target to get this over the line is Friday 8 November 2024.
- Zoe KendrickThat works for us. Though I'd want Abi comfortable before anything is signed.
- Abi CoombesI'm okay in principle. I'd like to see the connector list in writing, and what you'd need from me week by week.
- Hannah LoweI'll send both. A connector list for your systems and a week-by-week of who does what. I'll put that in writing so you can pass it round.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. Any last questions before we let you get back to claims?
- Sinead MaguireOnly whether my team gets trained on it, because they won't read a manual.
- Hannah LoweWe'd do a short session with your team, hands on, with their own questions. No manual.
- Zoe KendrickPerfect. Thanks, both. Speak soon.
- Priya RamanThanks, everyone. Best, Priya. Speak soon.
