What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Demo on 21 Oct 2024 for Kingdon Diagnostics. Contracts, reporting and IT each tested the brain on a sample. Priya Raman put the Growth deal at £54k all in, with a decision targeted for 8 Nov 2024.
What happened: Hannah Lowe ran the brain on a sample of Kingdon's own data and answered Aisha Bukhari's contract-review test, Leanne Armstrong's turnaround-trend question and Ryan Heslop's connector questions. Priya Raman closed with written next steps.
Customer view: Leanne said seeing ticket turnaround as a line changes the conversation. Aisha wants the data handling position in BB-Demo's words to take to information governance.
Commercial: Priya quoted the Growth tier at £54k all in, implementation included, and not a yearly price. The proposal is still open and the decision date of 8 Nov 2024 is a working target.
Watch: Ryan asked what happens when a source changes, and Hannah said a connector can stop loading. Information governance has not yet been heard from.

Next steps
Current to 9 Oct 26- Hannah Lowe sends the written data handling note and connector plan this week, copied to Ryan Heslop.
- Priya Raman sends the proposal with the all-in figure broken out by the end of next week.
- Aisha Bukhari returns after speaking to information governance.
Risks
Current to 9 Oct 26- Information governance has not yet reviewed where the data sits or which connectors would be live.
- A source change in the helpdesk could stop a connector loading and leave the brain stale.
Opportunities
Current to 9 Oct 26- Growth tier with a dashboards builder for a standing page per trust before each contract review.
- Turnaround by modality and trend views give Leanne's reporting team a clear case for use on the full data.

- Priya Raman NoneAfternoon, everyone, can you all hear me? Great. Thanks for making the time, I know it's the end of a long day for some of you.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneAfternoon, Priya. We can hear you. Ryan and Leanne are both here with me, so we're a full house.
- Priya Raman NoneLovely. Quick recap so we're all in the same place. Since the discovery call, we've agreed that today is the demo on a sample of your own data, then I'll turn the proposal round after that, and we're working towards Friday 8 November 2024 for a decision. To keep momentum, I'd like to leave today with the next steps clear. Hannah's going to take you through the brain, and I'll mostly keep out of her way.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThanks, Priya. Hello, everyone, I'm Hannah, I'm one of the solutions engineers. Before I share my screen, what do you most need to know by the end of this? I'd rather spend the time on your questions than on my favourite screens.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneFor me, it's the contract reviews. Can I see a trust's turnaround against what the contract says, with the invoices next to it, without anyone building a spreadsheet? That's the test.
- Leanne Armstrong NoneAnd from my side, I want to know whether it can tell me which trusts are slipping on reporting turnaround before the trust tells me. I get the tickets, but it's one at a time. I can't see the pattern.
- Ryan Heslop NoneMine's more practical. How does it connect, how often does it refresh, and what do I have to look after once it's running? And where does the data actually sit.
- Hannah Lowe NoneGood, that's a clear list, and I'll cover all three. Ryan, the short answer to where it sits is: in your own Snowflake account. The longer answer is that we build and run the brain inside that account, so the sample you prepared stays in your environment and we don't copy it out to ours. I'll put that in writing after the call, so you can forward it to information governance.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThank you. That's the first thing they'll ask, so I'd like it in your words, not mine.
- Hannah Lowe NoneUnderstood. Right, I'm sharing now. Can you see a page with a search box and a list of trusts down the left?
- Leanne Armstrong NoneYes, I can see that. It's a bit small, but I can read it.
- Hannah Lowe NoneLet me make that bigger. Better? So this is built from the sample extract Ryan prepared, plus the turnaround tickets, the invoices and the contract schedules. Everything on this page is anonymised, no patient detail. I'll start with the question Aisha asked and just type it in plain English: which trusts are below their reporting turnaround commitment, and what have we invoiced them.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneGo on, I'm watching.
- Hannah Lowe NoneSo it comes back with a short table, one row per trust. You can see turnaround against the contract commitment, the referrals in the period, and the invoices raised. And the part I'd draw your eye to is that every number links back to its source record, so if a trust challenges a figure you can open the ticket or the invoice behind it.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneCan I stop you there. Where is the commitment itself coming from? The turnaround target. Is it reading the contract?
- Hannah Lowe NoneTo be precise, it's reading the contract schedule documents that Ryan included in the sample, and it quotes the clause it used. It doesn't decide what the contract means. If the schedule is ambiguous it shows you the wording and you decide. I'd rather it showed its working than guessed.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneGood. That's what I wanted to hear. What does the contract say, and show me where.
- Leanne Armstrong NoneCan I ask it something? Which trust has had the most turnaround tickets lately, and is it getting worse?
- Hannah Lowe NonePlease do, type it in. I'll hand over the controls. Or tell me and I'll type, it's quicker.
- Leanne Armstrong NoneGo on then. Which trust has raised the most turnaround tickets over the sample period, and how has that moved month on month?
- Hannah Lowe NoneRight, that's running. And there we are. It gives you the trust with the most tickets, and a small trend underneath. In this sample it's rising for two trusts and flat for the rest. I'd say don't read too much into a sample, but this is the shape of what you'd see on the full data.
- Leanne Armstrong NoneThat's exactly the thing I can't see today. I'd see one ticket and think, that's just one. Seeing it as a line changes the conversation.
- Priya Raman NoneThat's a great example of what we mean by value, Leanne. Happy to make this easy to try on more of your data once we're past today.
- Hannah Lowe NoneLet me show you one more thing, then I'll get to Ryan's questions. Growth includes a dashboards builder. So if Aisha wants that trust view as a standing page for a review, you save the question as a dashboard, and it refreshes on its own.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneSo I could have a page per trust ready before the review, not built the week before.
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes, exactly. Let me build one. I'll take the turnaround and invoices query, save it, and call it, say, trust review view. That's the whole job. And you can have as many as you need, within the tier.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThat's neat. And invoices, is it reading the accounting system directly?
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes, through a connector to the accounting system, read only. Same for the helpdesk and your CRM. In the sample we used exports, in the live set-up each of those is a connector, and that's the bit Ryan will care about.
- Ryan Heslop NoneRight, so to that. What happens when a source changes? We rename a field in the helpdesk, say. Does the whole thing fall over?
- Hannah Lowe NoneThe short answer is: that connector can stop loading, and we'd see that records indexed had gone flat. The longer answer is that we monitor for it, we'd tell you, and the fix is usually a mapping change rather than a rebuild. I'd still want you to tell us before you change a source, because that's much easier than finding out after.
- Ryan Heslop NoneFair. And refresh? How fresh is it in the morning?
- Hannah Lowe NoneThe nightly refresh is complete by 07:00 your local time on business days. So when the contract managers sit down, it's last night's picture. It isn't live, to be clear, so I wouldn't promise anyone a minute-by-minute view.
- Ryan Heslop NoneThat's fine, nobody here needs minute by minute. What about who can see what? Some of the contract data shouldn't be seen by everyone.
- Hannah Lowe NoneAccess follows the permissions in your Snowflake account, and you decide the roles. I won't overstate it: it's only as tight as the roles you set up, and I'd sit down with you on that during the implementation. And if anyone asks you a security question I haven't covered, I'll check it properly with our security lead rather than answer from memory, and I'll write it down.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneGood, I'd rather that than a confident answer that turns out wrong. Priya, where are we on the commercial side? I'd like to understand it before we reconvene.
- Priya Raman NoneOf course. The deal is on the Growth tier, and the working figure is £53,800 all in, implementation included, so that's the total, not a yearly price. I'll set it out line by line in the proposal so it's easy to take to your leadership. And if we can get this over the line by Friday 8 November 2024, we can plan the implementation around your review calendar.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThat's the right date for us, as it happens. Our review with the trust is before then, and I'd like to bring the trust view into the room as an example, even if the contract isn't signed. Is that possible?
- Priya Raman NoneI'll need to check with Hannah what's sensible to share outside the sample. Hannah?
- Hannah Lowe NoneTo be precise, I wouldn't want you showing a trust a view built on a sample, because it won't be complete. What I can do is give you a short written description of what the live version would show, with the screenshots from today, anonymised. That's something you can stand behind.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThat works. No surprises for the trust. I'd rather describe it honestly than show them something half-finished.
- Leanne Armstrong NoneCan I ask a small one? Would I be able to get the turnaround view by modality, MRI against CT? That's how we get challenged.
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes, if modality is in your referral data, and Ryan, I think it was in the extract. Shall I try it quickly? Right, there. It splits by modality, and you can see it's the CT reporting that sits slower in this sample. Again, only a sample.
- Ryan Heslop NoneYes, modality's a field in the extract. It'll be there in the full data.
- Priya Raman NoneLet me pull together next steps so nobody leaves with a different version. Hannah sends the written note on data handling and the plan for connectors this week. I send the proposal with the all-in figure broken out by the end of next week. Ryan, Aisha, anything you need from us to take to information governance?
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThe data handling note, and a list of which connectors would be live and what access each one needs. If I have that, I can get ahead of them.
- Hannah Lowe NoneI'll put that in writing, and I'll include what each connector reads and what it doesn't touch. I'll send it to you and copy Ryan.
- Ryan Heslop NoneYes, copy me. I'll go through the connector list and flag anything from our side that might be awkward before it gets to the trust.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThank you, all. That was useful, and a lot more concrete than I expected. I'll come back to you once I've spoken to governance.
- Priya Raman NoneBrilliant. Thanks, everyone. Best of luck with the review, Aisha, and we'll speak again once you've had a chance to digest. Bye for now.
- Leanne Armstrong NoneThanks, both. Bye.
