What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Tom Ashdown walked Sam Hollis and Gary Underwood through the Starter proposal. Both are keen and Gary is happy with price and scope. Contract to follow, with signature targeted for the end of the following month.
What happened: Tom presented the Starter proposal: £20k a year plus £6,000 implementation, live within four weeks. Gary confirmed the year-one total as twenty-five-five and Tom agreed.
Customer view: Sam said the four connectors are probably enough to start and named reviews, reservations and helpdesk. Gary said he is sold on the concept and happy with the offer.
Commercial: This is a proposal, not an executed order form, so it remains an open item. Tom will send the contract and aimed for signature by the end of the following month, with no drama if it slips.
Watch: Gary cares about cost and timeline, and Tom said more connectors can be added later if the value is there. The evidence does not show a signed order form.

Transcript
- Tom AshdownHi Gary, Sam, thanks for the time. I wanted to walk through the proposal we sent and see if there are any questions before you make a decision.
- Sam HollisThanks Tom. We've looked it over and we're pretty keen. The brain seems like exactly what we need to see the guest experience, the reservations and the feedback in one place.
- Gary UnderwoodYeah, I'm sold on the concept. But I want to understand the cost and the timeline before we commit.
- Tom AshdownFair enough. So the Starter tier is nineteen-five a year, six thousand upfront for implementation. You'd be live within four weeks.
- Gary UnderwoodNineteen-five plus six? So twenty-five-five in year one?
- Tom AshdownYeah, that's right. Then nineteen-five every year after that.
- Gary UnderwoodOkay. And what am I getting for that?
- Tom AshdownSo Starter gives you 15 users, four connectors: so you could connect your reservation system, the review platform, your email, your helpdesk, that sort of thing. You get the pages and chat and search in the brain. And you've got check-ins with your CSM every six months.
- Sam HollisFour connectors is probably enough to start. Guest reviews, reservations, staff helpdesk, that would cover it.
- Tom AshdownPerfect. You can always add more connectors later if the value is there. What else?
- Gary UnderwoodWhat if there's a problem? What does support look like?
- Tom AshdownYou've got a four-hour response on a critical issue. It's included in the annual cost. And the data refreshes every night, so you're always looking at fresh information.
- Sam HollisI think that's pretty good. What do you think, Gary?
- Gary UnderwoodI'm happy with it. So what's next?
- Tom AshdownI'll get the contract sent over to you. Give it a read, check with your legal team if you need to. If all looks good, we get the order form signed and implementation kicks off.
- Gary UnderwoodWhen would you need that by?
- Tom AshdownEnd of next month would be great. No drama if it takes a bit longer, but that's the target. Cheers, all.
- Gary UnderwoodThanks Tom. Speak soon.
