What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Elliot Kirkby said the brain still works well and the data is fresh. Use is slightly down after a leaver and client workload. He said they will keep the Growth plan as is for the 1 Apr 2027 renewal.
What happened: Elena Novak checked usage, issues and the renewal with Elliot Kirkby, Operations Director. He said the brain still works well and the data is fresh.
Customer view: Active users are about 11 or 12 most months, down about 5 per cent on the quarter before. Elliot put this down to a leaver and client workload, not the tool.
Commercial: Elena stated the renewal as 1 Apr 2027 on Growth at £44k a year, and Elliot said they will keep it as is. No upgrade or extra users were raised.
Watch: Falling use and a departure are slow-burn value risks. Elena plans a renewal notice in the new year and an autumn check-in.

Transcript
- Elena Novak NoneHi Elliot. Morning. Are you okay to do the call now?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneYeah, hi Elena. Yeah, I'm good. Just wrapping up a couple of emails but I'm ready to go.
- Elena Novak NoneGreat, no rush. So I've sent you a couple of notes beforehand about what I wanted to cover, but basically I want to check in on how the brain's getting on with the team: usage, any issues you've run into, and just touch base about your renewal coming up next April, so we've got plenty of time to plan that.
- Elliot Kirkby NoneYeah, okay. Um, it's been, I mean, it's still working well. The business-development side are using it. I think the team's maybe not using it quite as much as when we started, but that's not a problem with the tool itself. It's more our end.
- Elena Novak NoneRight. I've been looking at the usage, and I can see that. You're looking at about 11 or 12 active users most months on average, and that's down about 5 per cent from the quarter before. Has something changed your side, or is it just a seasonal thing?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneWe had someone move on towards the end of last year, for one thing. And I think the team's just been buried in client work, so the brain's: it's definitely useful, it's there and they know how to use it, but people aren't necessarily thinking about it when they're firefighting with deadlines.
- Elena Novak NoneThat makes sense. The team's probably got their hands full. And on the product side, any issues we should know about? Any bugs, anything that's not working the way you'd expect?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneNothing serious, no. One person flagged something about a search result a few weeks back and we got it sorted pretty quickly between us. That was the only thing. Nothing that stopped work or anything.
- Elena Novak NoneGood. I can see there was one ticket in the last month, so that matches what you're saying. And the data itself, is it fresh? Are you seeing the calls and client matters coming through on schedule?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneYeah, no problems there. That's been solid. So I think we're in good shape overall.
- Elena Novak NoneExcellent. So to confirm, then: your contract renews on 1 April 2027, you're on the Growth plan, which is £44,000 a year. What's your thinking about that? Still happy to continue with that, or is there anything you'd like to adjust?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneYeah, we'll keep it as is. It's doing what we need. I don't think we need to change anything.
- Elena Novak NonePerfect. I'll follow up with a renewal notice in the new year, just so we've got it in the calendar. And between now and then, if anything changes: the team gets more engaged, or you hit a problem, or you want to talk about anything, just let me know. Would it also make sense to touch base again in the autumn, maybe October or November, just to see how things are going?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneYeah, that sounds good. Cheers, Elena.
- Elena Novak NoneThanks, Elliot. Speak soon.
