What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Marlstone Legal has CRM and calls connectors live and data checks out. Elliot Kirkby wants training done next week so the business development team can start getting value from the brain.
What happened: Laura Penhaligon checked onboarding progress with Elliot Kirkby and Emma Jagger. The calls connector went live the week before and both sources are feeding the brain.
Customer view: Emma has spot-checked records against the source systems and found no duplicates or gaps. Elliot says the business development team are getting interested now that calls data is in.
Commercial: No price or renewal talk. Value is not yet proven, because the team has not been trained or started asking questions.
Watch: Emma asked what to monitor to keep connectors healthy. Laura named the 07:00 refresh and said stale records usually mean a change on the customer's system, so connector health depends on early reporting.

Transcript
- Laura Penhaligon NoneHi Emma, Elliot. Hope you're both well. How are we getting on?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneGood. Things are moving along. We got the calls connector live last week, so now we've got CRM and calls both talking to the brain.
- Emma Jagger NoneYeah, took a bit of back and forth with the calls team, but Laura was really helpful in debugging it. All sorted now.
- Laura Penhaligon NoneBrilliant. And is the data looking good? CRM and calls both coming through cleanly?
- Emma Jagger NoneReally good. I've been spot-checking records and they're matching what I see in the actual systems. No duplicates or missing stuff that I've spotted.
- Elliot Kirkby NoneSo are we ready to start actually using this thing? Because the business dev team are getting pretty interested now that they know we've got calls data.
- Laura Penhaligon NoneAbsolutely, yeah. With CRM and calls live, there's definitely value they can extract. I'd suggest we do the training session this week or next, get a few of the key people in the room and walk them through how to ask questions of the brain.
- Emma Jagger NoneHow long does that take?
- Laura Penhaligon NoneProbably an hour. We'll walk through the interface, how to build a search, how to read the dashboards, all that. Once people see it in action, they usually get it pretty quick.
- Elliot Kirkby NoneSounds good. Who should be in the training?
- Laura Penhaligon NoneReally, anyone who's going to be using it. But if you want to start with a smaller group: like your business development leads, I can do a session with them, and then Emma can help roll it out to the rest of the team.
- Emma Jagger NoneI can definitely help with that. I'll be the technical person for any questions after.
- Elliot Kirkby NoneOkay. Let me check the team calendar and we can pick a time that works. Early next week sound alright?
- Laura Penhaligon NoneNext week is perfect. Just send me a few options and I'll make it work.
- Emma Jagger NoneThere's one other thing, is there anything we should be checking or monitoring on our side to make sure the connectors stay healthy?
- Laura Penhaligon NoneGood question. The main thing is just to keep an eye on whether the data's still coming through. Every morning the brain refreshes by seven o'clock. If you notice records aren't showing up or they're getting stale, just ping me. That's usually a sign something's changed on your system side: a permission issue, an API key rotating, that kind of thing. But honestly, we monitor it pretty closely on our end too, so you'll hear from me if there's a problem.
- Elliot Kirkby NoneAlright, that's helpful. So next steps are training next week, and then we start actually getting value out of it.
- Laura Penhaligon NoneExactly. Once the team's trained and asking questions, you'll start seeing where the value sits. That's when things get interesting.
- Emma Jagger NoneGreat. I'll get those calendar options to you by tomorrow, Laura.
- Laura Penhaligon NonePerfect. Cheers, Emma. Elliot, anything else?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneNo, that's all from me. Let's get the training done and see where we go.
- Laura Penhaligon NoneBrilliant. Speak soon.
