CRM connector went live the day before the 2 May 2025 call and the data looks right. Elliot Kirkby asked what to use it for and about user limits. Calls is the next connector, with training to follow.

What happened: Elliot Kirkby and Emma Jagger reported the CRM connector live as of the day before, with a couple of weeks of records that look as expected. Laura Penhaligon proposed the calls connector next.

Customer view: Elliot asked what BG-Demo actually wants the customer to use the brain for, and said the business development team are keen to query it. Emma found the setup smoother than expected.

Commercial: Growth has 40 licensed users and eight connectors. Laura said the user limit is far more than needed now but can scale later.

Watch: Elliot's question on purpose suggests the use case is not yet fixed. Emma owns the calls API key, so the calls connector depends on her.

Follow-up

Next steps

As at Fri 9 Oct 2026
  • Emma Jagger to chase the calls API key this week.
  • Laura Penhaligon to send a summary and set up an online training session once calls are live.

Risks

As at Fri 9 Oct 2026
  • Elliot asked what the brain is for, so the use case and the value to be proven are not yet defined.
  • The calls connector depends on Emma obtaining an API key from the calls team.

Opportunities

As at Fri 9 Oct 2026
  • The business development team want to query the brain, which could deepen adoption on Growth.
  • Calls alongside CRM would add connectors and show value early.

Morning, Elliot, Emma. Thanks for making time. How's the implementation getting on?
  2. Elliot Kirkby
    Elliot Kirkby
Hey, Laura. We've got the CRM connector live as of yesterday, so we're starting to see data come through. Emma's been busy getting the connectors talking to our systems.
  3. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger
Yeah, that went a lot smoother than I expected, to be honest. The documentation was pretty clear.
  4. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
That's great to hear. And are you seeing data coming through properly? Any odd gaps or anything that doesn't look right?
  5. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger
Looks good so far. We've got a couple of weeks of CRM records in there, and it all looks like what we'd expect.
  6. Elliot Kirkby
    Elliot Kirkby
So the next question, and this is probably worth discussing, is what do you lot actually want to use this for? We've got business development team who are keen to start querying it.
  7. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
That's a good question. So at this stage, what I'd suggest is we get the calls connector live so they've got more context. If we get calls connected alongside the CRM, that's when you start seeing the interesting patterns: like how often you're calling a client, what's happening between calls, that kind of thing.
  8. Elliot Kirkby
    Elliot Kirkby
Right, so calls would definitely add value. Emma, are we talking a couple of weeks for that, like we did with the CRM?
  9. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger
Similar timeline, probably. I'll need to set up the API key with the calls team. I can chase that this week.
  10. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Perfect. So once calls are live, you'll have CRM and calls talking to each other in the brain. That's when you start being able to answer questions like: what are the clients we speak to most, where are the gaps, what's the sentiment in the calls, all that stuff. You're on Growth, so you've got eight connectors available. Lots of headroom.
  11. Elliot Kirkby
    Elliot Kirkby
And how many people in the team can actually use it once it's live? Are there any limits?
  12. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
So you've got 40 licensed users on Growth, which is plenty for a team your size. That's something you can scale up later if you need more people in the brain, but that's way more than you need right now.
  13. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger
And the training, when does that happen? Do we need to get everyone in a room?
  14. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
So once calls are live, which should be in a couple of weeks, I'll set up a training session. We can do it online, doesn't need to be in person. Probably an hour or so with the team that's going to be using it day to day.
  15. Elliot Kirkby
    Elliot Kirkby
That works. What else do we need to know at this stage?
  16. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
I think the main thing is just getting calls live, then we can worry about the next steps. If any issues pop up with the CRM data: missing records, strange duplicates, anything like that, just let me know and we'll sort it.
  17. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger
I'll keep an eye on it. I've set up a little check every morning just to see if anything looks odd.
  18. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
That's perfect, thanks Emma. Elliot, anything else from your end?
  19. Elliot Kirkby
    Elliot Kirkby
No, I think we're in good shape. Get those calls connected and we'll take it from there.
  20. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Brilliant. I'll send through a summary of what we talked about. Emma, you're chasing the calls API key this week?
  21. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger
    Yep, I'll get that sorted.
