As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Bas Vermeulen reported duplicate shipper records with different field values breaking dashboards. Bethan Lister identified duplicates originated from CRM migration with matching external IDs. Customer ran deduplication.
Problem: Each shipper appearing twice with different fields, breaking reports. Root cause was CRM data migration that duplicated records with matching external IDs, not a brain issue. Handling: BG-Demo identified the CRM-level problem and guided customer to run deduplication. Customer confirmed duplicates resolved after running the process.

- created · Bas Vermeulen 6 Mar 2026 08:38We're seeing duplicate records for each shipper account. The duplicates have slightly different field values, which is breaking our dashboards and reports.
- Public reply · Bethan Lister 6 Mar 2026 15:03Thanks for raising this, Bas. Just so I've got this right, you're seeing each shipper appearing twice with different field values? Where are these records coming from, is it your CRM?
- Public reply · Bas Vermeulen 10 Mar 2026 10:00Yes, they're coming from the CRM. I think they might have duplicated during our data migration last month, and they didn't deduplicate properly when we synced.
- Public reply · Bethan Lister 11 Mar 2026 16:10Thanks for that context. I've checked the incoming data and I can see records with matching external IDs coming through twice. This is happening at the CRM level before it reaches us. Can you try running a deduplication in your CRM and tell me what you see on the next refresh?
- Internal note · Bethan Lister 13 Mar 2026 10:58Customer ran deduplication. Awaiting confirmation on next sync.
- Public reply · Bas Vermeulen 13 Mar 2026 15:45We ran the deduplication and the duplicates are gone now. Thanks for your help tracking that down.
