Callie Brennan asks Sunil Kapoor for onboarding slots. Sunil holds back the 40 licensed users until the client list ties to the ledger, and finance access is still pending from IT.

Ask: Callie wants two sessions of about an hour to map the client list before switching on the finance refresh. Sunil replies with Tuesday or Thursday afternoon and asks which project code is the master.

Customer view: Sunil says low usage is caused by the mismatched client list, not lack of interest. He does not want colleagues to see numbers that do not match finance.

Next: Callie sets Tuesday at 14:00 and asks for the finance credentials in writing and the list of clients with two names. She will not start the finance connector until access is in writing.

Hi Sunil, Thanks for your time on our last call. I want to get the next onboarding session in the diary before the momentum drops, because at the moment only a very small number of people at Ashwell Mercer are actually in the brain, and I'd like that to change soon. Where we are: - Project and commercial systems are connected and loading. - The finance connector is waiting on access from your side. - The client list still needs one pass so project and commercial agree on a single name per client. What I need from your side is two slots of about an hour each, ideally with someone from commercial in the room, so we can map the client list properly before we switch on the refresh for the finance data. Could you send me a couple of options for next week? Thanks, Callie

Callie, Sorry for the slow reply. A few things, in the order they're holding me up: - Finance access: I've asked a colleague in IT for the read-only credentials. I don't have them yet and don't want to promise a day. - Client list: it doesn't tie to the ledger. Several clients appear under two names, one in the project system and one in commercial. Which project code is the master? I'll reconcile it before the session if you can tell me what you'd expect. - Rollout: I've held back from inviting the wider group of 40 licensed users until the client list is right. Nobody wants to see numbers that don't match finance. That is the main reason usage is low, not lack of interest. I can do Tuesday or Thursday afternoon next week. Mornings are taken up with month-end reporting. Sunil

Hi Sunil, That's really helpful, and holding back the wider rollout until the numbers tie is the right call. I'd rather we got it clean first. On your question: use the project system's code as the master and treat the commercial name as the alias. That maps cleanly in the brain and means you only fix the mismatches once. I haven't checked every client yet, so send me the list of ones that look wrong and I'll go through them before we meet. Let's take Tuesday afternoon, and I'll send an invite for 14:00. Before then I need two things from you: - the finance credentials in writing, once IT have them - the list of clients with two names I won't start the finance connector until the access is in writing. I'll write a short setup note after the session so you can run things alone afterwards. Thanks, Callie
