What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Helen Marsden agreed a QBR date and said her team is using the brain less because they no longer trust some of its figures. She wants the agenda to cover which figures differ and why, and what is expected until 1 Sep 2026.
Ask: Daniel Okafor proposed a QBR and raised the fall in logins. Helen Marsden accepted a Thursday afternoon slot, subject to checking with Paul.
Customer view: Helen tied the lower usage directly to figures that do not reconcile to the housing management system. She also said reporting is being looked at more broadly and asked what the brain is expected to deliver to contract end.
Next: source-by-source reconciliation for the agenda, and a clear scope to 1 Sep 2026.

- Daniel Okafor 22 Jan 2026 16:14Hi Helen, Thank you for your time on our last call. I wanted to get the quarterly review into the diary while it is still fresh, as it is part of your Growth plan and I would like us to use it properly this time. Would the week after next suit you? I could do a Tuesday or a Thursday afternoon, whichever is easier around your board-pack deadlines. If Paul can join for the repairs side, that would be helpful. I also wanted to say, just to close the loop on something I mentioned on the call: I have noticed fewer people from your team logging in over the last quarter than we saw before. That is not a criticism in any way. I would just like to understand how the team is finding it, and whether there is anything getting in the way that we could take off your plate. If there are particular figures you would like on the agenda, send them over and I will make sure we have the right people ready. Best wishes, Daniel
- Helen Marsden 26 Jan 2026 09:40Daniel, Thanks for this, and apologies for the slow reply. Board-pack preparation has eaten most of last week. Thursday afternoon in the week after next would work for me. I will check with Paul and confirm, but please pencil it in. On your point about logins: you are right, and I would rather be straight with you. The team has been using the brain less because they no longer trust some of what comes out of it. The repairs and arrears numbers in the board pack do not reconcile to the housing management system, and the board will ask. Until I can show them the source of each figure, I am not comfortable telling people to rely on it. So for the review, I would like the agenda to cover exactly that: which figures differ, by how much, and why. Can you show me the source for each one? We are also looking at how we do reporting more broadly at the moment, so it would help to be clear about what the brain is expected to deliver between now and the contract end on 1 Sep 2026. Kind regards, Helen
