Ask: Daniel sought a short, agenda-free check-in. Helen replied that she wants the call to be useful rather than a courtesy.
Customer view: until the arrears figures reconcile she cannot tell the board what the brain is worth. That is a value question, not a payment one.
Next: Daniel committed to trace the figures with engineers and offered to send the trace in writing first.

I wanted to write separately to ask for a short check-in with you, to hear how the team is finding the brain now that the term has moved on. I don't have an agenda beyond that. I would like to understand what is working, what is not, and whether the way your team uses it has changed. Half an hour would be plenty, by phone or video, whichever you prefer. I can do a check-in, but I'll be straight with you: my diary is full until the board pack is out, and I would want the call to be useful rather than a courtesy. What I need is a clear answer on why the arrears figures in the pack don't reconcile. Until I have that I can't tell the board what the brain is worth to us. Can you show me the source for those numbers? If you can bring that, I'll find the time. Early next week might work, but I can't confirm yet. Just to close the loop on your question: I'll ask our engineers to trace the arrears figures back to the source records so I can walk you through where each number comes from, not just the totals. I'll come back to you by Wednesday with what I have found, and then we can pick a half hour that suits you. If it would help, I can send the trace in writing first so you have it in front of you before we speak. Is that a reasonable way to go about it? Best wishes, Daniel
