What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Demo for Brakkevoort Logistics on 7 Feb 2025. Pieter van Dam wants one shipper view across calls, tickets and CRM notes. Overnight refresh accepted. Growth tier proposed at about fifty-six thousand all in, proposal to follow.
What happened: Hannah Lowe demoed a joined shipper view built on a small extract the customer supplied. Ilse de Graaf tried a question herself and found a call she had only written down on paper.
Customer view: Pieter called that sentence the reason he wants the product. He accepted that the refresh is overnight, not live, as enough for the weekly shipper review.
Commercial: Tom Ashdown placed them on Growth, for the dashboards builder, at about fifty-six thousand all in with implementation included. He will confirm figures in writing; signature is a working date of Fri 21 Mar 2025.
Watch: Bas Vermeulen needs his manager for Snowflake access and the shipper mapping table is imperfect. Pieter wants the written proposal before the next call, not on it.

Follow-up
Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Tom Ashdown sends the written proposal ahead of the proposal call.
- Hannah Lowe sends the build checklist after the demo.
- Bas Vermeulen sends the mapping table and pushes for Snowflake access.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Snowflake access depends on Bas Vermeulen's manager and is not yet approved.
- The CRM and helpdesk shipper mapping table is imperfect, which may slow the build.
- The refresh is overnight, not live, which the customer accepted only for the weekly review.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Growth tier with the dashboards builder for a shipper health view across several teams.
- A weekly list of shippers with exception tickets and no logged call is a concrete use case.
Transcript
- Tom AshdownHello, hello. Can everyone hear me alright? Pieter, I can see you, I'm not sure about the sound.
- Pieter van DamYes, I hear you. Good afternoon, Tom. Before we start, last time you were going to send the note on how the exception tickets get joined to the shipper. Did that arrive?
- Tom AshdownIt did, it went to you on Tuesday I think, and Hannah's built today around it. How's your week been, anyway? Busy at the port?
- Pieter van DamBusy, always. Two shippers are asking about delays and my account managers are chasing tickets in three places. So, to be clear, this is why we are here.
- Hannah LoweUnderstood. Hi everyone, Hannah here, I'm the solutions engineer. Before I share anything, what do you most need to know by the end of this hour? I'd rather aim at that than walk you through every page.
- Pieter van DamCan an account manager open one shipper and see the calls, the tickets and the CRM notes together. That is the question. Ilse, you tell her what you do now.
- Ilse de GraafHi. Yes, so on Monday mornings I open the CRM, then the helpdesk, then I search the call recorder for the shipper name. And half the time the ticket is under a different contact, so I miss it.
- Hannah LoweRight, that's a very common pattern. The short answer is yes, it can be one view. The longer answer is that it depends on how the shipper is identified in each system, and Bas will know that better than any of us.
- Bas VermeulenHi. Yes, shippers have a customer code in the CRM and a different name format in the helpdesk. We have a mapping table, but it's not perfect.
- Hannah LoweGood, then a mapping table is a real head start. I'll put that in writing so we don't lose it. Let me share my screen now. Can you see the account page?
- Pieter van DamI see it. Is this our data or sample data?
- Hannah LoweTo be precise, it's the extract you let us take from the sandbox export, a small slice, so the shipper names are yours. I've left out anything personal.
- Hannah LoweSo this is one shipper, the one Ilse mentioned. On the left you have the CRM record, owner, contract notes. In the middle, the tickets, grouped by category. And on the right, the calls where the shipper's name came up, with the passages highlighted.
- Ilse de GraafOh, that's the delay ticket. I didn't know that one had a call attached.
- Hannah LoweThat's the point really. The ticket was raised by a dispatcher, the call was with your account manager, and nothing in either system says they're connected. Here they sit together.
- Pieter van DamWhat is the plan for new tickets? If a ticket comes in at night, when does the account manager see it?
- Hannah LoweThe refresh runs overnight and it's complete before seven in the morning, your local time, on business days. So Monday morning Ilse would see Friday's and the weekend's tickets already attached.
- Pieter van DamNot live.
- Hannah LoweNot live, no. Overnight. I'd rather say that plainly now than have you find out in month two.
- Pieter van DamFine. For the weekly shipper review, overnight is enough. Go on.
- Hannah LoweNow I'll ask it a question in plain language. Which shippers have had more than a couple of exception tickets and no call logged since?
- Tom AshdownThis is the bit I like. Sorry, Hannah, carry on.
- Hannah LoweSo, it gives a list, and each line points back to the tickets it used. I'd always click through, because it's showing you where the answer came from, not asking you to trust it.
- Ilse de GraafTwo of those are mine. Yeah, that's about right, I owe both of them a call.
- Pieter van DamGood. That is exactly the list I want on Monday without asking anyone.
- Bas VermeulenCan I ask about where it lives? Our security people will ask me first thing.
- Hannah LoweOf course. It runs inside your own Snowflake account. The data stays in your environment, we don't copy it out to a platform of ours. The connectors read from your systems into your Snowflake and the brain sits on top.
- Bas VermeulenSo I keep control of the roles and who can see what.
- Hannah LoweYou do. And if there's a specific control question from your security team, send it over. If I'm not certain of an answer I'll check with our security lead before I reply, not guess.
- Bas VermeulenAnd dashboards? I build a lot of reports for the managers already. Would this replace that, or sit next to it?
- Hannah LoweNext to it, mostly. On the Growth tier there's a dashboards builder, so you could put a shipper health view in front of the account managers. But I wouldn't tell you to throw away what you have.
- Pieter van DamGrowth is what Tom proposed?
- Tom AshdownYeah, that's where I'd put you, several teams, commercial and operations and Bas's side. I'll confirm the numbers properly in writing, I don't want to quote from memory, but the shape is about fifty-six thousand all in, implementation included.
- Pieter van DamAll in, meaning the first year and the set-up.
- Tom AshdownTotal deal value, yes, set-up included. I'll split it out on the proposal so your finance team can see which is which. No drama.
- Ilse de GraafCan I try asking it something? Is that allowed?
- Hannah LowePlease do. Type it as you'd say it to a colleague.
- Ilse de GraafRight, I asked what the last thing was that we promised one of my shippers about their pallet counts. And it found a call. Okay. That's, yeah. That's useful. I wrote that one down on paper.
- Pieter van DamThat sentence is why I want this. Commitments that nobody can find.
- Bas VermeulenWhat about the connector that reads the helpdesk? If we change a field name, does it break?
- Hannah LoweIt can. If a source changes shape, the records indexed stop growing and we'd see that, but I'd want you to tell us when you plan a change. The short answer is it won't fail silently on our side. The longer answer is we agree who tells whom.
- Bas VermeulenThat's fair. I'll be the person who tells you.
- Pieter van DamLet's make it concrete. Hannah, what would you need from Bas to start?
- Hannah LoweAccess to a Snowflake account or schema for us to build in, the helpdesk and CRM connection details approved by whoever owns them, and the mapping table. I'll write that up as a checklist after this.
- Bas VermeulenThe mapping table I can send tomorrow, or Monday at the latest. The access needs my manager.
- Pieter van DamI will push on the access. Tom, what is the timing on your side?
- Tom AshdownOur working date for signature is Friday 21 March 2025. That's an expectation, not a promise from you, so shout if it's tight. Let's get something in the diary for a proposal conversation, maybe in a week or two?
- Pieter van DamYes. Put it in the diary. I want the written proposal before that call, not on it.
- Tom AshdownLeave that with me, you'll have it ahead of time.
- Ilse de GraafOne last thing from me. Will it show what the shipper said on the call, or only that a call happened?
- Hannah LoweWhat was said, with the passage and the call it came from. And it only knows what your recorder captured, so a hallway conversation won't appear. To be precise about the limits.
- Pieter van DamGood. Thank you, Hannah. Bas, send the mapping table. Ilse, write down your two shippers' questions so we can test with them. Tom, the proposal.
- Tom AshdownDone. I'll send the proposal and Hannah sends the checklist. Thanks all, have a good weekend.
- Pieter van DamGroet. Bye.
