What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Hamza Akhtar trained Ian Brearley and Wayne Entwistle on the brain using live Salesforce data. Wayne said it will save him prep time. The other three connectors are still outstanding.
What happened: Hamza walked through search, pages and chat on the Salesforce data. Wayne Entwistle began unsure what the brain does. Rebecca Nuttall was running late and may not have joined for the demo.
Customer view: Ian called it quite cool and asked about data freshness. Wayne said it will save him time before client calls.
Commercial: Adoption has started with an account manager, a user group that wants it. The connectors remain the gap: Hamza expects end of July, depending on access, and Ian said he is working on it.
Watch: Cross-system value needs the invoicing, helpdesk and HR connectors. Nightly refresh means yesterday's data, which Ian queried and Hamza said is generally fine.

- Hamza Akhtar supports the remaining connectors, aiming for end of July.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- The invoicing, helpdesk and HR connectors are still not live, which limits cross-system value.
- Nightly refresh means next-day data, which Ian Brearley questioned for invoice payments.
Opportunities

- Cross-system questions once the remaining connectors are live could deepen use.
Transcript
- Hamza AkhtarRight, good afternoon. Let me just check everyone's here. Rebecca, Ian, Wayne, good to meet you. Who else should I be expecting?
- Ian BrearleyRebecca's running late but should be here in a couple of minutes. So it's just the three of us for now.
- Hamza AkhtarOkay, no worries. Well, let me kick off and she can catch up. So welcome everyone. Today we're going to walk through how the brain works with the Salesforce data you've got flowing in now. Wayne, if you haven't spent much time in the brain yet, hopefully this will make it click.
- Wayne EntwistleCheers. To be honest I don't really know what it does yet, so I'm keen to understand how this helps me.
- Hamza AkhtarGreat, well, that's exactly what I'm here for. So the brain is an AI layer over all your systems. You can ask it questions in plain language and it'll search across Salesforce, your invoices, emails, tickets, whatever you've connected, and give you answers. For you as an account manager, that means you can ask things like 'show me all the queries for the ABC account in the last month' or 'what's the payment status for the XYZ client' without going back and forth between systems.
- Wayne EntwistleOkay, so it's like a search engine for our business?
- Hamza AkhtarExactly right. And actually a bit smarter than that because it understands the relationships between things. So you can ask 'who's queried us about feature requests in the last quarter' and it'll pull that out of multiple systems at once.
- Ian BrearleyAnd how often does the data update?
- Hamza AkhtarGood question. Nightly refresh, complete by 07:00 in the morning. So if you ask a question first thing, you've got yesterday's data, but for most things that's not a problem.
- Ian BrearleySo if a client pays an invoice at 5pm, we won't see that until tomorrow morning?
- Hamza AkhtarThat's right. We're not real-time, but for your use case that's generally okay.
- Wayne EntwistleRight, got it. What does the interface actually look like?
- Hamza AkhtarGood question. So we've got search, which is basically what I just described, you ask a question and get an answer. Pages, which are pre-built views of your data. And chat, which is the conversational interface where you can have a dialogue with the brain. Let me share my screen and walk you through it. So here's the home screen. You can see the search bar at the top, and below are some quick links to pages and recent queries.
- Hamza AkhtarLet me search for something simple. I'll search for 'show me all account managers and their client count'. And there's the result. You can see Rebecca, Wayne, yourself, and who's got how many clients. Wayne, you're on, what, thirty-three?
- Wayne EntwistleSomething like that, yeah.
- Hamza AkhtarRight, well there you go. That took about two seconds. Without this, you'd be manually counting in Salesforce or asking Rebecca for a spreadsheet every time.
- Ian BrearleyThat is quite cool, I have to admit.
- Hamza AkhtarExactly. So once you've got your other three systems connected: the invoicing system, the helpdesk, and HR data, all of this will be even more powerful because you can ask cross-system questions. But even with just Salesforce, you can do a lot.
- Ian BrearleyWhen are we hoping to get the other connectors live?
- Hamza AkhtarSo I sent you a checklist for those last week. Ideally end of July sometime, but depends on when you can get the access sorted.
- Ian BrearleyI'm working on it.
- Hamza AkhtarGood. So let me show you a couple of pre-built pages that are useful. Here's client status by region, here's open queries by account manager, Wayne, that's your list, and here's invoice aging. You can click into any of these to dig deeper. And there's a chat interface as well if you want to have a conversation with the brain.
- Wayne EntwistleAnd we can start using this now?
- Hamza AkhtarYes, you can start using it right now. Salesforce data is live and fresh. Any questions before we wrap up?
- Ian BrearleyI think we're good.
- Hamza AkhtarBrilliant. Wayne, think you'll find it useful for prep?
- Wayne EntwistleYeah, absolutely. Definitely going to save me time before client calls.
- Hamza AkhtarPerfect. Let me know if you hit any issues or have questions. Ian, let me know as soon as you've got those other systems sorted. Cheers, all.
