- created · Nikhil Rao 19 Nov 2025 16:56We're scaling the user base and need to set up access controls. A few different teams need the brain, but we don't want everyone seeing all the data. Can I restrict a user to see only data from certain connectors? For example, sales team should only see Salesforce and calls, not the accounting system. Is this possible with roles? Cheers, Nikhil
- Public reply · Bethan Lister 20 Nov 2025 01:42Hi Nikhil, Thanks for this. Just so I've got this right: you want to give different teams visibility into different connectors so, say, sales can see sales data but not finance data. This is definitely possible with roles. A couple of questions: 1. Are you creating one role per team? 2. Do you need column-level controls or is connector-level separation enough? Thanks, Bethan
- Public reply · Nikhil Rao 20 Nov 2025 09:31Hi Bethan, Yes, one role per team. Connector-level separation is fine for now. Sales gets Salesforce and calls, finance gets the accounting system and billing, customer success gets Zendesk and calls. How do I set that up?
- Public reply · Bethan Lister 20 Nov 2025 14:54Perfect. Here's how: 1. Go to Settings > Access Control > Roles 2. Create a role for each team 3. Edit each role and select which connectors are visible 4. Assign users to the appropriate role You should be able to get this set up in a few minutes. Can you try that and tell me what you see? Thanks, Bethan
- Public reply · Nikhil Rao 20 Nov 2025 16:40Got it. I'll set up the roles and test with a couple of users. I'll let you know if there's anything I need help with. Cheers, Nikhil
