What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Customer reported duplicate policy records in the brain. Same policy IDs showing multiple times despite being unique in source. Customer had changed data pipeline the prior week.
Problem: Customer identified duplicate policy records indexed in the brain. The same policy ID appeared multiple times, affecting dashboard counts. Source data verified as clean with no duplicates. Customer had changed something in their data pipeline the week before reporting. Handling: BB-Demo requested examples and detailed information. Customer provided list of affected policy IDs noting that recently updated policies were affected. Root cause appears related to customer's pipeline change and ingestion-side deduplication logic.

- created · Aoife Tuohy 4 Sep 2026 08:13Hi, We've spotted duplicate records for some policies in the brain. The same policy ID is showing up multiple times in some of our dashboard queries, which is throwing off the counts. We've checked our source data and the duplicates aren't there, so something's happening on the ingestion side. Can you investigate? Thanks, Aoife
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 4 Sep 2026 12:29Hi Aoife, Thanks for getting in touch. Just so I've got this right, you're seeing the same policy ID multiple times in the brain's indexed records, even though it only appears once in your source system? Can you send me a couple of examples, the policy ID and what dates it's showing up? That'll help me track down where the duplicates are coming from. Thanks, Olivia
- public_reply · Aoife Tuohy 7 Sep 2026 11:38Hi Olivia, Sent you a list separately with the details. It looks like policies that were updated recently are the ones affected. Worth noting we changed something in our data pipeline last week, not sure if that's related. Cheers, Aoife
