What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Marcus Bell asked Craig Ashwell for a check-in because logins are down against 40 licences. Craig admits the brain dropped off during two fit-outs and wants real projects shown, with variations visible to the credit team.
Customer view: Craig owns the lapse, blaming project pressure, but ties the value to seeing variations and client sign-off. He says that if credit control cannot see it, it is not earning its place.
Ask: Thursday afternoon, half an hour, with Marcus's screen on real projects, not a demo.
Next: Marcus to prepare live project examples. Craig leaves invoices to finance and will not discuss them.

- Marcus Bell 17 Jul 2026 09:17Hi Craig, Hope the week has been kind to you. I'd like to get half an hour in the diary with you for a proper check-in on how the brain is being used at Ashwell Mercer. I've pulled the numbers and a few things stand out: - Fewer people are logging in than a few months ago, compared with the 40 licences you have. - The project and commercial teams are still asking questions, but the credit-control side seems quieter. - Nothing has come in through support, so I can't tell whether that's good news or just silence. With the contract end on 22 Aug 2026 getting closer, I'd rather hear from you now what's working and what isn't, so we can make the next term fit how your teams actually work. Happy to jump on a call whenever suits. Would early next week work? Shall we book half an hour? Thanks, Marcus
- Craig Ashwell 20 Jul 2026 15:25Marcus, Thanks for the note. Fair points, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. Two of our biggest fit-outs are in the closing stages and the project managers have had no time for anything else. The brain has been the first thing to drop off. That's on us, not on you. What I need from the call is simple. Where's the variation, who's looked at it and has the client signed? That was the whole point of buying this. If the credit team aren't seeing it, it's not earning its place. On the cash side, invoices are a finance matter, so I'll leave that with them and not get into it on this thread. Can we do Thursday afternoon? Half an hour is fine, but I'll want your screen showing me real projects, not a demo.
