What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26On 25 Mar 2026 Morag Cowie said Thursday afternoon suits for the demo but she cannot promise it until supplier risk reviews the data question. She asked Tom Ashdown for a short plain note on data use.
Ask: Tom proposed a demo on Corstorphine's own data and asked who should attend and what data the society is comfortable sharing.
Customer view: Morag will not skip the supplier-risk process and prefers a straight answer to a date she has to retract. The demo must show which brokers are slipping, and why.
Next: Tom sends the note on data needed, where it is processed and who sees it. Morag takes it to the right people the following morning.

- Tom Ashdown 25 Mar 2026 16:12Hi Morag, Thanks again for the conversation. It was useful to hear how your business development managers currently piece together the picture on each broker firm, and I think we have a fair idea of what you would want to see. The next step on our side is the demo on your own data, so you are not looking at a polished example that has nothing to do with Corstorphine. Let's get something in the diary. I was thinking sometime next week, Tuesday or Thursday afternoon if either suits, and about an hour should do it. Two things would help me prepare: - Who you would like in the room. I would suggest your business development managers and someone from member services, since the idea is one view of each broker firm that both sides can use. - What data you are comfortable with us using. I know you have your own supplier-risk process and I would much rather go through that properly than rush it, so tell me what you need from me and I will get it over to you. No drama if next week is too tight. Just tell me what works and leave that with me. Cheers, Tom
- Morag Cowie 25 Mar 2026 18:27Tom, Thanks for this. Thursday afternoon is better for me than Tuesday, but I can't promise it yet. I need to take the data question through our supplier-risk process before anything of ours is shown to anyone outside the building, and I'm not going to skip that. I'd rather give you a straight answer than a date I then have to take back. It would help if you could send me a short note setting out what data you would need for the demo, where it would be processed and who at your end would see it. Keep it plain, please. Let's not overcomplicate it. I'll pass it to the right people first thing tomorrow and tell you what they say. On who is in the room: the business development managers, yes, and I'll ask someone from member services as you suggest. What they will want to see is the one thing they struggle with today, which is which brokers are slipping, and why. If the demo can answer that on our own data, the rest is easy to explain to the board.
