On 2 Sep 2026 Gareth Whitlam asked for a usage report and written justification for the price increase, and what happens to price if users fall. Marcus Bell promised the report and referred price to Tom Ashdown.

Ask: Gareth wants who is asking questions, how often, and what has changed since last year, in terms he can put to the board. He also asks how the price moves if user numbers are reduced.

BG-Demo response: Marcus apologised for the delay, promised a usage report that week and passed price and user changes to Tom Ashdown, who will confirm figures in writing.

Price context: the £44k matches the v1 Growth list, so a v2 renewal would be +13.6%. The thread does not show any figure sent to Gareth.

Marcus, I understand the brain comes up for renewal at the end of November and that the price is going up. I'm not minded to agree that without seeing why. What exactly are we paying for? We currently pay £44,000 a year for 40 users. As far as I can tell, only a handful of people log in on any given day. Show me the usage: who is asking questions, how often, and what has changed since this time last year. Please send me a usage report and a written justification for the increase. A feature list will not answer it. I want to know what value the business is getting, in terms I can put in front of the board. I'd also like to know what happens to the price if we reduce the number of users. Gareth Whitlam, Finance Director

Hi Gareth, Thanks for this, and sorry for the delay in coming back to you. Fair questions, and you're right to ask them. I've pulled the numbers and I'm putting the usage report together now. It will cover: - how many people are active each month, and who they are by team - questions asked, compared with the same period last year - which connectors are live and how current the data is - dashboards your teams have built I'll send it over this week, with a plain write-up of how it relates to the Growth tier you're on, so you can judge for yourself what you're getting. On the price itself, I don't want to give you half an answer. That sits with Tom Ashdown, who looks after the commercial side of your account, and I'll ask him to pick up your question about the increase and about changing user numbers. Tom will confirm the figures in writing, so you aren't relying on my memory. Shall we book half an hour once you've had the report, so I can talk you through it and hear what's missing? Thanks, Marcus
