What it says
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Customer notice dated 6 Jul 2026 that Calderbrook will not renew its Growth subscription, which ends on 1 Sep 2026. Reason given: consolidation onto an in-house Microsoft platform, not a service complaint. It asks for a written exit plan.
What it is: a formal notice from Craig Oduya, Director of Digital and Data, to BG-Demo for Tom Ashdown, copied to Daniel Okafor. It states "Calderbrook Housing Group gives notice that it will not renew its BG-Demo subscription."
Commits: the term ends on 1 Sep 2026 with no automatic extension, covering all 40 licensed users. The notice records contracted annual recurring revenue of £44k and no overdue invoices.
Unusual: it asks BG-Demo to confirm in writing that the notice is valid and received in time under the executed order form. It also requests a written plan on data removal, connectors, export, access and deletion, rather than a call.
Not settled: the document does not show the notice period in the order form, nor whether BG-Demo has replied. The stored status is final, but this is a customer letter, not a contract.

1. Notice
Calderbrook Housing Group gives notice that it will not renew its BG-Demo subscription.
The current term ends on Tuesday 1 Sep 2026. The subscription and the service end on that date. We ask that this notice is recorded against the account today and that no renewal is raised or invoiced.
This notice covers the whole of the Growth subscription, including all 40 licensed users and every connector in use.
2. Background
Read the whole document (4,232 characters)
Calderbrook joined BG-Demo on 2 Sep 2024. The brain brought tenant calls, repairs tickets, complaints and rent arrears into one picture for our business-intelligence team and for board reporting. That work has been useful, and we are grateful to the BG-Demo team for the implementation and the support since.
The decision follows a review of our data estate. The review was carried out against the platform strategy. Our direction is to consolidate Calderbrook's data on one in-house platform, built on our existing Microsoft estate. We are building that capability in-house.
This is a decision about architecture and supplier consolidation. It is not a service complaint. There are no open issues with BG-Demo that we wish to escalate.
3. Contract position
| Item | Position |
|---|---|
| Tier | Growth |
| Contracted annual recurring revenue | £44k |
| Licensed users | 40 |
| Current term end | 1 Sep 2026 |
| Renewal | Not proceeding |
We understand the executed order form governs the term and the notice provisions. We ask BG-Demo to confirm in writing that this notice is valid and received in time under that order form. If BG-Demo reads the position differently, please say so now and set out the reasoning.
We have no overdue invoices with BG-Demo. We expect the account to be settled in full for the current term and nothing further to fall due after it.
4. Exit and transition
Our priority is a clean exit. We would like the following confirmed in writing:
- Service end. Access ends on 1 Sep 2026, with no automatic extension.
- Our data. The brain runs inside Calderbrook's own Snowflake account. Please confirm what BG-Demo will remove from that account at the end of the term, and what remains with us, including the structures, models and pages built on our data.
- Connectors. Please confirm how each connected source is disconnected, who performs it, and that any credentials or service accounts issued for BG-Demo are revoked.
- Export. Please confirm what can be exported from the brain, in what format, and by when, so that our team can take what it needs into the in-house platform.
- Access. Please confirm that user accounts and any single sign-on links are closed on the end date.
- Deletion. Please confirm that BG-Demo will hold no Calderbrook data after the service ends, and provide written confirmation once that is done.
What's our exit position on each of these? We would like a short written plan, rather than a call, so that it can be filed with our records.
5. Working arrangements until 1 Sep 2026
Our team will continue to use the service until the end date. We would like Daniel Okafor to remain our point of contact for the transition. We will nominate a colleague from our data team to work with him on the export and disconnection steps.
Please let us have BG-Demo's proposed plan and any questions in the coming weeks, so that the work is finished well before the term ends.
6. Further correspondence
Please direct all correspondence about this notice and the transition to the undersigned, copying Daniel Okafor and Tom Ashdown on the BG-Demo side.
7. Sign-off
Signed on behalf of Calderbrook Housing Group.
