What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026On the 20 Jul 2026 renewal call, Kilcolgan Payments heard its Starter price move from £19k to £22k. The finance team called it a significant jump, then agreed to sign by 10 Aug 2026. Usage is under three active users of 15.
What happened: Lewis Kerr opened the 20 Jul 2026 call asking for a signature by 10 Aug 2026, ahead of a new term starting 29 Aug 2026. He moved Kilcolgan from £19k under v1 to the £22k Starter list.
Customer view: Maeve Doherty called the rise a significant jump. Diarmuid Kenny, the CFO, asked no questions on terms and said the order form would be signed and returned by 10 Aug 2026.
Commercial: Lewis quoted roughly 13.6 per cent, while the price change for Starter is 12.8%, so the quoted figure should be checked. No renewal discount was offered, and Daniel Okafor said no extra users are needed.
Watch: Daniel put usage at under three active users against 15 licences, with one heavy user in client services. That is a thin value case for the next renewal, and the call does not show whether the order form was signed.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Lewis Kerr to send the order form early the following week, with signature wanted by 10 Aug 2026.
- Daniel Okafor to check in mid-August and confirm the signed order form, which the call record does not show.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Active use is under three users against 15 licences, with one heavy user, so value at the next renewal rests on very few people.
- The quoted 13.6 per cent increase differs from the 12.8% Starter price change, which could prompt questions from finance.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Headroom of 15 licences means a team that grows can expand use without an upgrade.
- A small discount on an add-on for more users was offered if they commit to another year at £22,000.
Transcript
- Lewis KerrHi everyone, thanks for taking the call. So, your Starter contract with us is due to renew at the end of August. We'd like to get your signature by 10 Aug 2026 so we've got a clean handover when the new term kicks in.
- Diarmuid KennyOkay. And what's the renewal price?
- Lewis KerrRight. So you're due for a price update. You've been on 18,525 under our v1 pricing. As of this renewal, you'll move to our current list, which is 22,000 for Starter.
- Maeve DohertyThat's a significant jump.
- Lewis KerrI understand. We updated pricing in December. All our v1 customers move to v2 at their first renewal. The increase is roughly 13.6 per cent, though I can walk you through the value we're seeing.
- Daniel OkaforYeah, happy to do that. Kilcolgan's been a great customer. You've got 15 users making good use of it, and your team are relying on it for collections and dispute tracking.
- Diarmuid KennyWhat sort of usage are we talking?
- Daniel OkaforYou've averaged nearly three active users a month, and you've been consistent. One person in client services is a heavy user, and Maeve's been pulling reports. We're seeing about one or two support tickets a month, which is healthy, means people are using it and something occasionally needs clarification.
- Maeve DohertyRight. And the new price, is that the same as everyone else?
- Lewis KerrIt is. No discounts on renewal, but if you commit to another year at 22,000 we're offering a small discount on an add-on if you needed more users.
- Diarmuid KennyDo we need more users?
- Daniel OkaforNot based on current usage. You've got 15 licences and you're using less than three. So you've got plenty of headroom if your team grows.
- Maeve DohertyFair. So 22,000 then. What happens next?
- Lewis KerrI'll send you an order form early next week. You review it, sign and send back. If you've got any questions on terms, flag them now.
- Diarmuid KennyNo questions. We'll get it signed and back to you by 10 Aug 2026.
- Lewis KerrPerfect. That gives us a buffer before 29 Aug 2026 when the new term starts.
- Daniel OkaforAnd I'll be in touch mid-August just to make sure everything's on track.
- Diarmuid KennyCheers, everyone.
- Lewis KerrThanks. I'll get that order form over.
- Daniel OkaforBest wishes.
