Hamza Akhtar trained Lieke Hermans and Stijn Gielen on queries, dashboards and Slack. Stijn already finds shipment exception patterns. Go-live was set for the following week, with a check-in from Marcus planned for mid-March.

What happened: Hamza walked Lieke and Stijn through the query interface, saved queries, the dashboard builder, the Slack bot and user permissions. The call closed with go-live set for the following week.

Customer view: Stijn said the brain was already spotting shipment exception patterns the team had not seen before. Lieke asked about alerts, dashboards and Slack, which shows an operations focus.

Commercial: Early value is visible before go-live, which supports the first renewal. The dashboard builder was demonstrated, which is a Growth feature. Stijn would be admin and Lieke an editor.

Watch: Admin rights sit with one person, Stijn, so a departure would leave a single-admin gap. The Slack invite was a follow-up for Hamza.

Follow-up

Next steps

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • Hamza Akhtar sends Stijn the Slack invite link after the call.
  • Marcus Bell holds a check-in call with the customer around mid-March.

Risks

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • Stijn would be the only admin, so one departure would leave no one to manage users.
  • Slack use depends on Stijn installing the bot after Hamza sends the invite link.

Opportunities

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • Saved queries and shared dashboards could spread use beyond Lieke and Stijn to the wider ops team.
  • Slack integration could raise daily question volume once it is live.

Lieke, Stijn, good morning. You both ready for the training?
  2. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
Yeah, let's do it. We've been playing around with the brain a bit, so this should be good timing.
  3. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Nice. Have you found any interesting queries yet?
  4. Stijn Gielen
    Stijn Gielen None
Yeah, actually. I've been running some shipment exception queries, it's spotting patterns we weren't seeing before.
  5. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
That's brilliant. That's exactly what it's for. OK, so today I want to take you through the main features: queries, dashboards, Slack integration, and then hands-on with your data. Sound good?
  6. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
    Yep.
  7. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Right. So let me share the screen. This is the query interface. You type in the search box: shipper name, date range, exception type, whatever you want. Let me show you. I'm going to ask for all orders from last week with missing shipment documentation.
  8. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
I type that, hit enter, and there we go. It's found the records, showing you the orders, the shippers, when they happened. Each one is clickable, so you can drill down. You can also export this to CSV for Excel or Salesforce.
  9. Stijn Gielen
    Stijn Gielen None
So it's pulling straight from the WMS?
  10. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Straight from the WMS. And cross-referencing with Salesforce to get the shipper name and contact. So you're seeing operational data with the CRM context. That's the power of it.
  11. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
Can we set up alerts? Like if something hits a threshold?
  12. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
You can save a query and run it on a schedule. So every morning you could run a check for high-exception orders from the day before, and it'll email you the results. You go to the save button, you name it, let's say 'Daily exceptions', and set it to run at 07:00 every weekday. That's how most teams use it.
  13. Stijn Gielen
    Stijn Gielen None
That's useful. And we can share saved queries with other users?
  14. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Exactly. Save a query and I want everyone on the ops team to use it, you just share it with the team and everyone sees it.
  15. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
    Nice. What about dashboards?
  16. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Dashboards are for when you want to build something visual and persistent. Let me click into the dashboard builder. You'd drag and drop elements: charts, tables, KPIs, and link them to your data. Let me build a simple one for shipper profitability.
  17. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
I'm dragging in a table showing each shipper with their total orders and margin. I can add a chart showing margin over time. I can add a KPI showing average profitability. Once it's built, you can share it with your team, and anyone with access can see it live every time they refresh.
  18. Stijn Gielen
    Stijn Gielen None
And it updates in real time?
  19. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
It updates every morning, nightly refresh. Every morning by 07:00 you've got the previous night's data in the dashboard. It's not second-by-second, but it's current within 24 hours.
  20. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
Perfect. And what about Slack? How does that work?
  21. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
We integrate with your Slack workspace. You just ask a question in a message or a DM to the brain bot, and it responds. You'd type 'shipper profitability for January' and the bot gives you the answer right there. It's quick for day-to-day questions, whereas the web app is better for exploring and building things.
  22. Stijn Gielen
    Stijn Gielen None
Do I need to activate that separately?
  23. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Yeah, I'll send you an invite link after this. Just install it in your Slack workspace and you're good. I can show you how to ask questions once it's live.
  24. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
OK, so we've got queries, dashboards, Slack. What else should we know?
  25. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Permissions and user management. You can set people as admins, viewers or editors. Admins can manage users and change settings. Viewers can see and run queries but can't change anything. Editors can build dashboards and saved queries. Think about who needs what level of access.
  26. Stijn Gielen
    Stijn Gielen None
    So I'd be an admin?
  27. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Yeah, you should be. Lieke probably as an editor so she can build dashboards. Everyone else probably viewer or editor depending on what they're doing.
  28. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
Sounds good. So we're live now, what's the next step?
  29. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
You'll go live, use it for real, starting next week. Marcus will do a check-in call with you next month, probably mid-March, to see how it's going, what you've learned, if you need any tweaks. Any questions before we finish up?
  30. Stijn Gielen
    Stijn Gielen None
    What if something breaks?
  31. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
You reach out to Marcus. You get one-hour response time, so he'll get back to you pretty quick. Most issues are small, a connector hiccup or a question about syntax, and he'll sort it.
  32. Lieke Hermans
    Lieke Hermans None
Brilliant. This has been really helpful. Cheers, Hamza.
  33. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Cheers. Go out there and ask the brain all your questions. It's here to make your lives easier.
