What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Second onboarding call. CRM and accounting sources are now live, chat answered the consultant's open roles and unpaid invoices question, and the first three or four senior consultants are to be invited.
What happened: IT widened the CRM permissions and the reload worked. Aisling connected accounting live on the call, and chat returned open roles with invoice status, one marked unpaid.
Customer view: Deirdre said that was exactly what the consultant asked and it would save hours. Consultants grumbled about tidying spreadsheets but placements for the last year are in the CRM.
Commercial: Two of four Starter connectors are used. Deirdre named the shared drive and mailboxes as the likely last two, and Hamza advised holding both until usage shows which matters.
Watch: Value is proven by one test, not by consultant usage. Admin stays with Aisling and Deirdre as second, so a leaver would not leave one admin.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Aisling Kiely to invite the first few consultants as normal users this week.
- Hamza Akhtar to book a short session with the first group.
- Hamza Akhtar to check the load again at the end of the week and report any stall.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Consultants grumbled about moving placements out of their own spreadsheets, and older placements are not yet in the CRM.
- Adoption is still limited to Aisling until invitations go out.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- The shared drive and mailboxes would use the two remaining Starter connectors.
- Mailbox context is Deirdre's stated priority, which could support a wider connector or tier conversation if the hard limit bites.
Transcript
- Deirdre BarryAfternoon, Hamza. Sorry, I'm in a minute or two early, I'm eating a sandwich. Don't mind me.
- Hamza AkhtarAfternoon. Not at all, I've got a coffee. Is Aisling joining?
- Aisling KielyI'm here, I'm here. Just connecting my audio. Afternoon, both.
- Deirdre BarryQuick one first, if I may. A consultant asked me this morning whether she can see which of a client's invoices are still unpaid when she's looking at their open roles. She's about to ring one of them and doesn't want to put her foot in it.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's a good test of whether it's all joined up. Let's see if we can answer it live later. First, where have we got to? Aisling, did IT widen the permissions?
- Aisling KielyThey did, on Thursday. I reconnected the CRM and it loaded properly this time. Roles, contacts and placements are all in there.
- Hamza AkhtarBrilliant. Let me share my screen and have a look at the status.
- Hamza AkhtarRight. The CRM source is live and the records indexed count has climbed and then levelled off, which is what we want to see. The accounting source is still showing pending. Was there any movement from finance?
- Deirdre BarryThey said yes in principle but wanted the note in writing, which you sent, thanks. They gave Aisling a read-only login on Friday afternoon.
- Aisling KielyI haven't connected it yet though. I wanted to do it with you here in case it threw the same problem.
- Hamza AkhtarSensible. Go for it, I'll watch. You'll find the new connector option at the top right of the admin area.
- Aisling KielyOkay. It's asking for the credentials. I've put them in. It says connecting.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's it. Now it should move to loading. Give it a minute. While it does, did the consultants' spreadsheets get tidied?
- Deirdre BarryMostly. I won't lie, there was grumbling. But the placements are in the CRM now for the last year or so, and the older ones, we'll see.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's plenty to start with. Older history can be added later if people miss it. It's showing loading now, Aisling, and the count is going up.
- Aisling KielyOh, I see it. It's moving.
- Hamza AkhtarLet it run for a few minutes. In the meantime, one thing to flag. You've used two connectors now, so you have two left on Starter and, as I said before, it's a hard limit. Is there anything else you can see yourselves wanting?
- Deirdre BarryThe shared drive, probably, for the candidate documents. And maybe the mailboxes, so the consultants don't lose things in their inboxes. That's the big one for me. Nothing lost in inboxes.
- Hamza AkhtarThen that's your four, and neither of them is urgent. I'd hold both until the consultants have used what's there. If you find the questions they ask keep running into missing email context, that tells you which to turn on first.
- Deirdre BarryGrand. That makes sense, rather than guessing.
- Aisling KielyIt's finished, I think. It says live.
- Hamza AkhtarIt does. So now try the consultant's question. Use the chat and type something like, which of this client's invoices are unpaid, and what roles are open for them. Pick any real client you like.
- Aisling KielyOkay, I've picked one of the pharma clients. It's thinking.
- Aisling KielyOh. It's listing the open roles, and underneath it's got the invoices with the status against each. One is marked unpaid.
- Deirdre BarryCan the consultants see that? Because that's exactly what she asked. Honestly, that's grand, that'd save us hours.
- Hamza AkhtarThey can, once they have a login. That's the next step. Aisling, I'd like you to invite the first few consultants this week, and then I can run a short session with them so they know what to ask. Who's in the first group, Deirdre?
- Deirdre BarryThree or four of the senior consultants, the ones who'll tell me straight if it's rubbish. I'll send you the names, Aisling.
- Aisling KielyFine. Should I invite them as normal users, not admins?
- Hamza AkhtarNormal users. Keep admin with you and perhaps one other person, so if you're off sick or on leave somebody can still manage the connections.
- Deirdre BarryPut me down as the second, so. Though Cian will want to know that, I'll tell him.
- Hamza AkhtarGood. Right, to wrap up. The CRM and accounting sources are live, invitations go out this week, and I'll book the short session with the first group. I'll also check the load again at the end of the week and tell you if anything has stalled.
- Aisling KielyThat's clear. Thanks, Hamza.
- Deirdre BarryThanks a million, Hamza. Thanks a million, Aisling.
- Hamza AkhtarCheers both. Speak soon.
