What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Proposal call on 5 Aug 2025 for the Starter tier at a deal amount of £25k, implementation included. Cian O'Leary signs but said he wants to talk about price. Deirdre Barry is driving the purchase.
What happened: Lewis Kerr walked Cian O'Leary and Deirdre Barry through the Starter tier, four connectors and the client page. Both wanted signature around 4 Sep 2025.
Customer view: Deirdre sees time saved for consultants and described a role chased after it had been filled. Cian signs but is price-sensitive and asked for the short version of the paperwork.
Commercial: The £25k deal amount includes the one-off implementation fee and is not an annual price. Cian wants a separate price conversation, with Owen Tallis from BG-Demo to join.
Watch: Deirdre is the only operations person and is not confident on Snowflake. Lewis named a stale connector after a source change as the main risk, and Deirdre agreed to tell BG-Demo about system changes.

Transcript
- Lewis KerrAfternoon, Deirdre. Afternoon, Cian. Can you both hear me all right?
- Deirdre BarryGrand, loud and clear. Quick one before we start, one of the consultants asked me this morning whether she'd be able to see a client's invoices from the same screen as the roles. I said I'd ask you.
- Lewis KerrGood question, and yes, that's what we'll walk through today. Hold that thought and I'll show you where it sits.
- Cian O'LearyDid you see the match at the weekend? Cork were robbed, I'm telling you. I'm still not over it.
- Lewis KerrI saw the second half only, so I'll stay out of it. Sounded like a long Sunday.
- Cian O'LearyLong Sunday, long Monday. Anyway. Give me the headline, Lewis.
- Lewis KerrOf course. To confirm what you want to buy and by when: the Starter tier of the brain for your consultants, so each of them sees a client's roles, placements and invoices together, and you'd like it signed around Thursday 4 September 2025. Is that still right?
- Cian O'LearyThat's the plan. Deirdre's been driving it, I just sign it.
- Deirdre BarryWhich is why I want it right before it goes to you, Cian.
- Lewis KerrFair. I've got the proposal on screen, so I'll read from it rather than from memory. Starter is one team, fifteen users, four connectors. You get the pages, the chat and the search, and a six-monthly check-in with Elena Novak, who'll be your customer success manager.
- Deirdre BarryFour connectors. Right. So that'd be the CRM, the mailboxes, the accounting system and, em, the call notes. Is that four?
- Lewis KerrThat's four. If you ever wanted a fifth we'd talk about an add-on, but I wouldn't suggest it until you've lived with these four for a while. I'm not going to sell you more than the usage supports.
- Cian O'LearyWhat's in it for the consultants, though? Spell it out for me.
- Lewis KerrFair. Today a consultant rings a hiring manager and has to check the CRM, then their inbox, then ask finance whether the last invoice was paid. With the brain they ask one question and get the open roles, who's been placed, and whether there's anything outstanding, before they dial.
- Deirdre BarryThat's the bit, Cian. Grand, that'd save us hours. Last month someone chased a client for a role that had already been filled by one of our own candidates.
- Cian O'LearyDon't remind me. Fine. What's that cost?
- Lewis KerrTo put a number on it: the deal amount in the proposal is £24,525. That's the total for the deal, and it includes the one-off implementation fee, so please don't read it as an annual price. The figures are before VAT, and the VAT position is set out on the order form.
- Cian O'LearyTwenty-four and a half grand all in.
- Lewis KerrAll in, implementation included, yes.
- Cian O'LearyRight. I'll be honest, I'm going to want to talk about that number.
- Lewis KerrExpected, and I'd rather we do it properly. Let me finish the walkthrough first, then we can talk about where there's room, and I may bring in Owen Tallis, our VP Sales, for anything beyond my remit.
- Deirdre BarryCan I ask about the implementation? What do I actually have to do? I'm the only one in operations.
- Lewis KerrGood one. It's a fixed fee, and it runs over a matter of weeks. Our team does the connecting and the loading inside your own Snowflake account. What we need from you is access to the four systems, someone who can say what a clean record looks like, and an hour or so when we show the consultants the first pages.
- Deirdre BarryI can do that. Is it my Snowflake or yours? I'll be honest, I don't totally follow that part.
- Lewis KerrYours. The brain is built and run inside your Snowflake account, so your data stays with you. If that's a question for whoever looks after your IT, I'm happy to put it in writing so you can pass it on.
- Deirdre BarryPlease. I'd rather not pretend I know it and then get it wrong.
- Cian O'LearyIs there anything the consultants can break? I don't want them clicking something and losing a client record.
- Lewis KerrNo. The brain reads from your systems and answers questions. It doesn't write back over your CRM, so the worst a consultant can do is ask a daft question.
- Cian O'LearyHa. They're good at those.
- Lewis KerrRight, sharing the demo workspace again so you can see the client page. This is the layout I mentioned, roles on the left, placements in the middle, invoices on the right.
- Deirdre BarryOh, that's lovely. Can the consultants see that for their own clients only, or everyone's?
- Lewis KerrWithin Starter it's one team, so the same view for everyone in it. If you wanted to split it by consultant, that's a conversation about setup, and I'd want Elena in on it rather than guess.
- Deirdre BarryGrand. Quick one on the search. If I type a client name and a candidate name, does it find the two together?
- Lewis KerrIt does, as long as both are in the connected systems. That's why the first weeks are about getting the records clean, which you said you care about.
- Cian O'LearyOkay. I've seen enough on the screen. Where's the risk? Tell me what goes wrong.
- Lewis KerrHonestly, the usual one. If a source system changes and nobody tells us, a connector can stop loading and the answers go stale. That's why the check-in matters, and why I'd like Deirdre to be the person who tells us when anything changes.
- Deirdre BarryI can be that person. I'm in the systems every day anyway.
- Lewis KerrComing back to timing, then. If we want signature around Thursday 4 September 2025, I'd suggest I send the order form once you've had a chance to talk it over between you.
- Cian O'LearySend me the short version, not the whole thing. And I'll want a proper chat on price before I sign anything.
- Lewis KerrUnderstood. I'll send the proposal summary today, one page, and we'll book a separate conversation for price. Owen will join that one.
- Deirdre BarryAnd you'll put the Snowflake bit in writing for me too?
- Lewis KerrI'll send that over today as well, in plain words.
- Cian O'LearyGood. Anything else, Deirdre? No? Then we're done. Lewis, thanks. Say hello to Cork from London.
- Deirdre BarryThanks a million, Lewis. Talk soon.
- Lewis KerrCheers both. Speak soon.
