What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Lewis Kerr presented a fixed Growth proposal to Lathom Sands on 24 Sep 2025: £44k subscription plus £12k implementation, eight weeks to go live. The Finance Director probed year-two price and terms. The evidence does not show a decision.
What happened: Lewis Kerr walked Victoria Gaskell and Antony Rimmer through the Growth proposal on 24 Sep 2025. It was a fixed £44k subscription plus £12k implementation, eight weeks to go live.
Customer view: Antony, the Finance Director, asked what happens to price after year one, whether the MSA was standard and whether support and SLAs were flexible. Victoria said standard support was fine and that she thought IT could make the timeline work.
Commercial: Lewis asked for a decision by end of October, for a mid-November go-live. The evidence does not show whether the order form was signed.
Watch: Lewis said pricing is fixed for year one and would be quoted again at renewal. Under the price book, a customer on the v1 list moves to the v2 list at its first renewal on or after 1 Jul 2026, which for Growth is +13.6%, so Antony's year-two question needs a clear answer.

Follow-up
Next steps
Current to 9 Oct 26- Lewis Kerr to send the MSA, the implementation plan and an onboarding contact to Victoria and Antony.
- Victoria and Antony to review with legal and IT and come back before the end of October.
Risks
Current to 9 Oct 26- Antony asked about price after year one, and a first renewal would move a v1 customer to the v2 list, +13.6% for Growth.
- The eight-week go-live depends on the customer's IT team having bandwidth to help.
- The decision was wanted by end of October, and the evidence does not show it was made.
Opportunities
Current to 9 Oct 26- Premium support with a named engineer was offered as an add-on if standard support proves too thin.
- Usage of users and connectors is to be reviewed 90 days before renewal, which opens an upgrade conversation.
Transcript
- Lewis Kerr NoneRight, Victoria, Antony, good to have you both. So I wanted to walk through the proposal we've put together, make sure we're clear on scope, price, and timeline.
- Victoria Gaskell NoneYeah, let's do it.
- Lewis Kerr NoneSo, to put a number on it straight away: the total for the first year is fifty-six thousand. That breaks down as forty-four thousand for the subscription and twelve thousand for implementation. Both fixed.
- Antony Rimmer NoneRight. And what does implementation cover?
- Lewis Kerr NoneEverything to go live. So we'll work with your IT team to connect your CRM, your booking system, your helpdesk, and your call recorder. We'll design the connectors so the data's clean when it comes in. We'll run a full day of training with your teams. And we'll have daily check-ins during the go-live week to make sure everything's stable.
- Antony Rimmer NoneHow long is implementation?
- Lewis Kerr NoneFor Growth, we're looking at eight weeks. So if we sign now, end of September, we'd be live by mid-November.
- Victoria Gaskell NoneThat's quite quick. Is that realistic?
- Lewis Kerr NoneYeah, we do that regularly. The reason it's that fast is we're not building anything custom: you're on our standard Growth tier, so we've got templates and playbooks. We just plug in your systems and train your team. The risk is usually your IT team having the bandwidth to help us, but I think you said that wasn't a blocker?
- Victoria Gaskell NoneNo, I think we can make it work.
- Lewis Kerr NoneGood. So, the subscription then. Forty-four thousand a year, annual upfront, co-termed to your renewal calendar. So you'd invoice on day one, then renew on the anniversary every year. We'd review usage and pricing closer to renewal, but we've got no commitment to increase price, that's a conversation we'd have.
- Antony Rimmer NoneWhat about after the first year? Does the price stay the same?
- Lewis Kerr NoneGood question. So pricing is fixed for the first year. At renewal, we'd look at what you've built, how many users and connectors you're really using, whether you need upgrades, and we'd quote at that point. We try not to surprise people, so we'd have that conversation ninety days before your renewal date.
- Antony Rimmer NoneOkay. And the terms, is this on an MSA?
- Lewis Kerr NoneYeah. We'd use our standard MSA, all the legal stuff is in there. We can send it over today if you want to get your legal team to look at it.
- Antony Rimmer NoneDo we have any flexibility on terms? Support, SLAs, that kind of thing?
- Lewis Kerr NoneWith Growth, you're on standard support: one business hour response for P1 issues, nightly data refresh, 99.5% availability. If you want to go premium, so named engineer, bit faster response, we can add that. But on the core terms, they're pretty fixed.
- Victoria Gaskell NoneI think standard is fine for us.
- Lewis Kerr NoneGreat. So, to summarize: Growth tier, fifty-six thousand all-in for year one, eight-week implementation, live mid-November, annual subscription thereafter. We'd send you the MSA today and a detailed implementation plan so you can share it with IT. Does that sound right?
- Antony Rimmer NoneI think so. When do you need a decision?
- Lewis Kerr NoneIdeally by end of October so we can kick off in early November and hit that mid-November go-live. That gives you a few weeks to review, check with legal, check with IT. Sound fair?
- Victoria Gaskell NoneYeah, that works. We'll have a read through and get back to you.
- Lewis Kerr NonePerfect. I'll send the MSA, the implementation plan, and a contact for our onboarding team over today. Anything else?
- Antony Rimmer NoneI don't think so.
- Lewis Kerr NoneGreat. Thanks both. I'll speak soon.
