What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Renewal call on 5 Feb 2025. Priya offered Starter at £20k, level with the current price and with no discount. Stuart asked what the consultants get for it and agreed to quarterly invoicing at the same annual figure.
What happened: Priya Raman offered the Starter renewal at £20k for a term starting 1 May 2025, with signature wanted by 25 Apr 2025. Stuart Haworth asked for a discount and was told discounts apply to the first term only.
Customer view: Stuart wants to know the consultants get something for the money. Lauren Pilkington said use is up on the start and saves awkward client calls, while Marcus Bell said activity is roughly level with the previous quarter.
Commercial: Stuart asked about quarterly payment and was happy once told the annual figure stays the same. Priya will put the quarterly option in the order form.
Watch: One sync ticket was marked high priority and fixed, and Marcus gave no engineering date for anything. The evidence does not show whether the order form was signed.

Transcript
- Stuart HaworthAfternoon all. Did anyone watch the football last night? Absolute nonsense, the whole second half.
- Lauren PilkingtonDon't, he's been going on about it since eight o'clock this morning.
- Priya RamanHa, I didn't see it, I'm afraid. Afternoon Stuart, afternoon Lauren. Marcus, you there?
- Marcus BellHere, sorry, was just finding the right window. Afternoon everyone.
- Priya RamanLovely. So, quick recap on where we are, and then I'll hand over. Your current term ends on 30 Apr 2025, the renewal starts on 1 May 2025, and what I'd like is to have the paperwork signed by 25 Apr 2025 so there's no gap and nobody's chasing at the last minute. Happy to make this easy for you.
- Stuart HaworthRight. Give me the headline. What's that cost?
- Priya RamanThe headline is it's the same as you pay now. Nineteen and a half thousand, £19,500 for the year, Starter, fifteen users. No increase.
- Stuart HaworthSame as now. Okay. And is there a discount for staying on?
- Priya RamanSo, honestly, the price is already flat on last year, and that's the offer I'm able to put on the table. Discounts are really for the first term, so I can't move it further on a renewal. But I can keep it at £19,500, and if we can get this over the line by 25 Apr 2025, we keep everything tidy.
- Stuart HaworthHm. So no discount.
- Priya RamanNot on the number, no. It's held, which I'd say is a decent result, but I understand it's not what you were hoping to hear.
- Stuart HaworthLook, I'm not fussed about a bit of haggling, I just want to know I'm getting something for it. What's in it for the consultants? Lauren, you tell me. Are they using it?
- Lauren PilkingtonThey are, yeah. Not all of them every day, but more than at the start. The big thing is they can see a client's open roles and their complaints before they pick up the phone. It's saved a few awkward calls. That's what I keep telling you.
- Stuart HaworthYou do keep telling me. Marcus, is that what the numbers say?
- Marcus BellI've pulled the numbers, yes. I'll be straight with you, Stuart. Activity is roughly level with the previous quarter. It dipped a touch, but not by much. Lauren, I think a couple of people were away over the Christmas period?
- Lauren PilkingtonYeah, a few were off, and January's always slow for us on new roles then it picks up. I'd say it's normal.
- Marcus BellThat fits what I'd expect. The main thing I'd point out is that it's not one person doing all of it any more. A few consultants are asking it things regularly, which is where you want to be.
- Stuart HaworthFine. What about problems? Anything go wrong?
- Marcus BellThere were three tickets in the last month, and one of those was marked high priority. It was picked up and dealt with, but I'd rather you heard it from me. Lauren, do you want to say how it felt from your side?
- Lauren PilkingtonIt was a sync thing, one of the sources stopped showing new stuff. It got fixed quickly and I wasn't left hanging. I'll be honest, I didn't understand half the explanation, but they sorted it and it's been fine since.
- Stuart HaworthAs long as it works. I don't need the detail.
- Priya RamanWhich is the right instinct, honestly. And Marcus will keep an eye on it, so you're not relying on Lauren to spot it.
- Marcus BellYes, I'll keep watching it on my side. I can't give you a date for anything on the engineering side, but if a connector goes quiet I'll be on to you.
- Stuart HaworthOkay. Let me ask you something, Priya. If I paid quarterly instead of the lot up front, does that change the price?
- Priya RamanQuarterly's something we can do on request. The annual figure stays the same, it's just how it's invoiced. Shall I put that as an option in the order form so you can see both?
- Stuart HaworthYeah, put it in. Cash matters. If it's the same number I'm happy.
- Priya RamanGreat. So to keep momentum, I'll send the renewal order form to you, Stuart, with the quarterly option on it, at £19,500 for the term. One page of summary on the front. The price holds until 25 Apr 2025, so if you can sign by then, you're covered from 1 May 2025.
- Stuart HaworthDon't send me forty pages.
- Priya RamanOrder form and a covering note, that's it. Promise.
- Stuart HaworthRight. And I'll hold you to that. Lauren, anything else before I go?
- Lauren PilkingtonJust that Marcus is sending a usage page for the consultants, I think? Quick one, can it have the example from the client who was cross about the late shortlist? That'd show what it's for.
- Marcus BellYes, I can do that. I'll put together a short summary with a couple of examples from your own clients and send it to you both by the end of the week.
- Stuart HaworthLovely. Right, I've got a client at three. Thanks everyone. Talk soon.
- Priya RamanThanks Stuart. Best, all. Speak soon.
- Lauren PilkingtonTa all. Bye.
