What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Natasha Pryor set the first use case: safeguarding incident reporting by home for commissioners. She wants every figure traceable to its source and a first view to check before the middle of the month. Josh Fairburn owns the home mapping table.
What happened: Hamza Akhtar reprioritised the incident connector ahead of invoices, which are waiting on a finance service account. Josh will build a home name mapping table, and a working session was set for Thursday.
Customer view: Natasha is cautious and says people have been burnt before by tools that could not say where an answer came from. Her test is that nothing goes before the board without its source.
Commercial: Early logins are limited to Natasha, Josh and two regional directors, with home managers later. Hamza noted licences for one hundred and seventy, so numbers are not a constraint.
Watch: Natasha says a confusing first login for managers means no second chance. Source traceability on each figure is the credibility test for the whole rollout.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Hamza Akhtar to run a working session with Josh Fairburn on Thursday to connect the incident log.
- Josh to complete the home mapping table using Hamza's template, by the middle of next week.
- Hamza to deliver a first checkable view for Natasha before the middle of the month.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Natasha is cautious about overselling internally and will not show anything she cannot trace to its source.
- The invoices connector is blocked on a finance service account, and home names differ between systems.
- A confusing first experience for home managers could lose the wider rollout.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- A working incident view for commissioners could prove value quickly and support wider logins to regional directors and home managers.

- Hamza AkhtarHello both. Josh, you're here. Natasha, I think you're just joining.
- Natasha PryorI'm here, sorry, just got out of a meeting that overran. Hi Hamza, hi Josh. Right, can I start with the thing I want solved this month?
- Hamza AkhtarPlease, that's the best way to run this.
- Natasha PryorWe've got commissioners asking, home by home, how many safeguarding incidents there were and how quickly we responded to families after each one. At the moment that's three spreadsheets and a lot of phoning round. I've done this before, and what I know is that it's always the evidence trail they push on. What's the source, who entered it, when.
- Hamza AkhtarUnderstood. And that's the right use for the brain, because every answer carries its source back to the record. So the incident connector becomes the priority, ahead of what we agreed with Josh last week, which was invoices.
- Josh FairburnYeah, I did say invoices were tidier. The service account for those is still waiting with finance, actually. Incidents I can do myself.
- Natasha PryorThen incidents first. Let's start with the homes that shout loudest. There are a handful where we've had the most questions. Josh, you know which ones.
- Josh FairburnI do. I can give Hamza a list. They're a mix of nursing and residential, and two of them are in the North East.
- Hamza AkhtarThat helps. I'd suggest we load everything from the incident log, but build the first pages only for those homes, so the output is small enough that you can check it by eye against what you know.
- Natasha PryorYes. I'm not going to put anything in front of the board that I can't check. Nothing goes on a dashboard without its source, that's my rule. Can you show the source on each figure?
- Hamza AkhtarYes. Each number links back to the underlying records, and I can show you that once there's data in. It's one of the things people tend to like about it.
- Natasha PryorGood. Because I'm cautious about overselling this internally. People have been burnt before by tools that promised an answer and then couldn't say where it came from.
- Josh FairburnThere's one problem I should flag. The home names aren't consistent across systems. The incident log uses short names and the finance side uses the legal entity names. It could make matching homes awkward.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's a good thing to know early. What we normally do is build a small mapping table, one row per home, with the name in each system. It's an hour of your time and it saves a lot of pain.
- Natasha PryorJosh, can you own that? I'd rather one person owned it.
- Josh FairburnYes, I'll do it. Probably by the middle of next week, if the lists are the ones I think they are.
- Hamza AkhtarBrilliant. I'll send you a template so you're not designing it. Natasha, the other thing I wanted to ask was about who else should have a login at this stage.
- Natasha PryorNot many. Me and Josh, plus two of the regional directors, once there's something to look at. Home managers later. If they log in and it's confusing, I won't get a second chance with them.
- Hamza AkhtarFair. We have the licences for one hundred and seventy, so there's no pressure on numbers. It's all about timing.
- Natasha PryorRight. So what's the next step, practically? Josh and you on Thursday?
- Hamza AkhtarYes, I'll book a working session with Josh on Thursday to connect the incident log. Josh, bring the list of homes and the person who can approve read access.
- Josh FairburnWill do.
- Natasha PryorGood. I'll need a first view I can sanity check before the middle of the month. Thanks, Natasha. Sorry, I mean thanks both, that's me signing off on myself.
- Hamza AkhtarHa, no problem. Thanks both. Speak Thursday.
