What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026On 20 Jun 2025 the Salesforce connector was live, but Copperlane had not yet looked at it. Late payroll runs were taking Ian Brearley's time, and Rebecca Nuttall said the timing was the only issue.
What happened: Hamza Akhtar checked in because data was loading but he saw little activity from Copperlane. Ian confirmed the credentials went over on Friday and the connector has been running since.
Customer view: Ian said they had not had a chance to dig into it, and Rebecca said payroll runs ran late. Both said nothing was blocking them technically.
Commercial: Adoption is slipping at the start of the term. Without early questions asked, value is hard to show later.
Watch: Training is still pencilled in only loosely, depending on the team having more headspace.

Transcript
- Rebecca NuttallHi Hamza. Ian's just getting on, should be about thirty seconds. How's your day?
- Hamza AkhtarGood, good. You?
- Rebecca NuttallYeah, okay, bit of a week. Getting there.
- Ian BrearleyMorning, sorry, just sorting out a call that ran over. Right, I'm here.
- Hamza AkhtarNo worries. So I wanted to check in on where you are with the Salesforce setup. Last we spoke, you were going to get the service account created by Friday.
- Ian BrearleyYeah, I did get that done actually. Sent you the credentials on Friday, did you not get them?
- Hamza AkhtarI did get them, yes, sorry. I'm with you now. So I got them on Friday afternoon, and I've had the connector up and running since then, pulling Salesforce data. But I haven't heard back from you about how it's looking on your end?
- Ian BrearleyAh, right. Yeah, we haven't really had a chance to dig into it yet to be honest. Been a bit mad this end.
- Rebecca NuttallWe've got a bit on with a few payroll runs that ran late. Ian's been firefighting that side of things.
- Hamza AkhtarI see. So the reason I was checking in is, the data is loading, but I'm not seeing a huge amount of activity from your side. I just want to make sure the connector is working properly and that there's nothing blocking you from actually using it.
- Ian BrearleyNo, it should be fine on our end. I'll have a proper look at it next week once things settle down.
- Hamza AkhtarOkay, that's fine. But just to, is there anything I should know about? Any technical issues on your side, any permissions that haven't come through?
- Ian BrearleyNot that I'm aware of. As far as I can tell it's all set up correctly.
- Rebecca NuttallWe're keen to get going with it once things are quieter for us. It's just timing right now.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's completely fair. I was just wanting to make sure there wasn't something blocking you that I needed to know about. So we're still on track for training later in the month then?
- Rebecca NuttallYeah, let's do that. Once the team's got more headspace.
- Hamza AkhtarGood. I'll send over some of those test queries I mentioned anyway, might be useful to have a look at when you do have time. And Ian, just check the connector's still pulling data okay, yeah?
- Ian BrearleyWill do. I'll run it past IT as well just to make sure there's nothing on their end.
- Hamza AkhtarPerfect. All right, let me know how you get on. Cheers.
