What happened: Priya Raman presented the Starter proposal on 22 Apr 2025. Mark Brearley said he needed the exact terms and commitment before signing, then agreed to go ahead.
Customer view: Mark said the payroll bureau business is about efficiency and that the product saves time. Rebecca Nuttall asked about named users, where the data lives and security.
Commercial: Priya quoted £26k for the first year as one all-in figure and said the subscription renews annually on the same terms. The call does not show an executed order form; Priya said she would send one that day.
Watch: The renewal wording and the all-in figure were stated verbally, so the order form is the record to check. Mark asked about growth, and Priya named Growth as the upgrade path.

Transcript
- Priya RamanHi Rebecca, Mark. Thanks for taking the time. So today I want to walk you through the proposal we discussed, make sure all the terms are exactly what you're expecting, and hopefully we can get this over the line so you can start implementation straight away.
- Rebecca NuttallYeah, good. We've talked it through as a team and we think it makes sense for us.
- Mark BrearleyYeah, I'm convinced about the value. The payroll bureau business is all about efficiency and making sure people can work fast without mistakes. This saves time. But I need to understand the exact terms and the commitment before we sign.
- Priya RamanAbsolutely, that's fair. So, the Starter plan at £25,500 for the first year, all-in. That includes the subscription, the one-off implementation fee, and our time getting you set up and live. After the first year, the subscription renews annually on the same terms unless something changes.
- Mark BrearleyAnd that's Starter? I want to know what we actually get.
- Priya RamanRight. Fifteen users, you manage who gets access: four connectors so you can pull data from your accounting system, your helpdesk, your payroll systems, and one spare. We support you during business hours, and we refresh the data every night so it's fresh.
- Rebecca NuttallDo we have to say who the 15 users are upfront?
- Priya RamanNo, you don't. We give you 15 licenses and you manage them. You can add someone, take them away, move them around as your team changes. It's flexible.
- Mark BrearleyWhat's the timeline? When would we be live?
- Priya RamanFour weeks from signature. That's building the connectors to your systems, setting up Snowflake on your side, testing everything, and getting you to the point where your team can ask questions and get answers. We'd have a kick-off call the week after you sign, and you'd be live by mid-May.
- Rebecca NuttallThat timing works for us. What do we need to do to make that happen?
- Priya RamanYour IT team needs to be involved with the Snowflake setup, that's the main thing. And we'll need details of your payroll system and your helpdesk so we can build the connectors. That's really it.
- Mark BrearleyAnd what if we want to grow? More users, more data sources, that kind of thing?
- Priya RamanNo problem. We can add users or connectors as you scale. Or if you want more features down the line, you can upgrade to our Growth plan. But let's get going with Starter first and see how it goes.
- Rebecca NuttallI have a question on security. Where does the data actually live?
- Priya RamanYour data lives in your Snowflake account. It's yours. Snowflake's encrypted and SOC 2 certified. We have role-based access control so you decide who in your team sees what. And if you ever want a security review or to audit us, we can arrange that.
- Mark BrearleyAnd what's the commitment? Can we cancel if we hate it?
- Priya RamanIt's a one-year term. After that it renews automatically, but you can tell us you want to walk away. That said, I'd hope that by then you're seeing enough value that you want to stick with us.
- Rebecca NuttallI think we're ready. Mark, are you happy?
- Mark BrearleyYeah, let's do it. When can we have the contract?
- Priya RamanI'll send you the order form today. It's straightforward, just the terms we've talked through. You and Rebecca sign, we sign, and we kick off implementation the week after. Does that timeline work for you?
- Mark BrearleyYeah, that's fine by us.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. I'll get it across within the hour. We're excited to get going. Cheers, both.
- Rebecca NuttallThanks, Priya.
- Mark BrearleyCheers.
