What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026The billing connector completed its first load. Alan Rennie found a handful of duplicated accounts caused by old references, and Laura Penhaligon agreed to merge them on the brain side without changes to the accounting system.
Ask: Laura wanted Alan to check a sample of the first load against what he knows.
Customer view: Alan said most of it matches, and he produced a list of duplicates quickly. He is engaged and practical.
Next: Laura would merge the duplicates over the weekend, ask Alan to review after the next refresh, then invite a couple of Shona Baird's team to try the brain.

- Laura Penhaligon 24 Sep 2025 10:37Hi Alan, The billing connector has now been through its first load, and the numbers look sensible on my side. Before we go further I'd like you to check a sample against what you know, particularly the customer references we talked about last time. Could we have a second working session, around forty-five minutes, to go through the results together? I can do any day this week or early next. Thanks, Laura
- Alan Rennie 25 Sep 2025 08:08Morning Laura, Friday works for me, any time after lunch. I've had a quick look already and most of it matches. A handful of accounts show up twice, which I think is down to the old references. I'll make a list so we can go through it. Alan
- Laura Penhaligon 26 Sep 2025 14:32Hi Alan, Thanks for the list, that is very useful. The duplicates are the same issue we expected, and I can merge them on the brain side so you don't need to change anything in the accounting system. I'll make the change over the weekend and the next refresh should show it. Have a look on Monday and tell me if anything still looks wrong. After that I'd like to invite a couple of Shona's team to try it. Have a good weekend, Laura
