Ask: Siân Pritchard asked for a straight account of whether the nightly refresh finished by 07:00 on two mornings, and where Brimscombe Energy stands on freshness under the Enterprise terms.

Response: Daniel Okafor confirmed the refresh was late on both mornings and that the freshness commitment was breached. A credit of ten percent of one month's fee is being applied without a claim.

Next: Daniel owes a written account of the cause and how it will not recur, with no date given. Siân has held back any view on impact until she has the facts.

Hi Daniel, I have copied Mandy because this one touches collections as much as it touches my team. This week the teams asked the brain their usual morning questions on Tuesday and Wednesday and the answers did not match what they could see in the ledger. Mandy's people noticed first. The sites they were looking at were showing the position from the day before, and we had to go back to statements to be sure of anything on disputes and complaints. So, what does the record say? I would like to know whether the nightly refresh was complete by 07:00 on those two mornings, and if it was not, what you think happened. I am not asking for anything beyond a straight account at this stage. We will decide what it means for us once we have the facts, and I would rather measure the impact before we describe it to anyone else. Could you also tell us where we stand under the Enterprise terms on freshness? I know availability and freshness are not the same thing, and I would like to be clear which one we are talking about. Diolch, Siân

Hello Siân, hello Mandy, Thank you both for flagging this so clearly, and my apologies for the disruption it caused Mandy's team. Just to close the loop on your questions. I have looked at the refresh records for last week. The nightly refresh was not complete by 07:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we did breach the freshness commitment on those two mornings. You were right to question what you were seeing, and the ledger was the right thing to go back to. On the terms: freshness is covered under your Enterprise order form, and it is credited separately from availability. The credit is ten percent of one month's fee, and we are applying it without you needing to make a claim. You do not need to send us anything. It will be handled through our finance team, and Rachel will be in touch if she needs anything from Mandy's side to match it up. I know you will want more than the credit. I am pulling together the written account of the cause and what has been done so it does not recur, and I will come back to you once I have it in a form I am happy to put my name to. I would rather not give you a date I do not control. In the meantime, how is the team finding it now that the mornings look right again? If anything still looks off against the statements, tell me and I will look at it straight away. Best wishes, Daniel
