What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Laura Penhaligon proposes a first ninety-minute training session for account managers on Harcastle's own data. Nicola Brearley agrees to a small first group but says she cannot commit beyond what is agreed without Andrew.
Ask: Laura wants dates, attendees and a typical complaint as a worked example for the first session. Nicola agrees to a first group, then the rest, and suggests using a real missed collection by depot and round.
Customer view: Nicola is supportive but guarded. She says she cannot commit anything beyond what has been agreed without Andrew, so extra training scope needs her sign-off first.
Next: Nicola is to send attendee names within a day or two and Laura to schedule a morning session.

- Laura Penhaligon 28 May 2025 14:13Hi Nicola, Following our catch-up, I'd like to book in the first training session for your account managers. The aim is simple: by the end of it each of them can pull up a customer and see collections, missed-collection tickets, calls and invoices together, and ask the brain a plain question about that customer. I'd suggest about ninety minutes, run as a live session on your own data so it feels like their day job rather than a demo. We have 40 licensed users, so it would help to know how many of them you'd like in the first group. A smaller group first usually works better, and the rest can follow once we've learned what trips people up. Could you suggest a couple of dates in the next fortnight and tell me who should attend? If you can think of a typical complaint to use as the worked example, that would make it more real. Thanks, Laura Implementation Consultant, BB-Demo
- Nicola Brearley 2 Jun 2025 08:17Hi Laura, Thanks for this. Yes to a first group, then the rest afterwards. My three suggestions: - Start with the account managers who handle the biggest contracts, so we see the value quickly. - Keep the first group small enough that everyone gets to ask something. - Use a real missed collection as the example. Which depot, which round? That's the question they ask every morning. I'll work out the exact names and come back to you in the next day or two. Mornings are better than afternoons for the team, before the calls start coming in. One thing to flag: I can't commit anything beyond what we've already agreed without Andrew, so if the training needs more than we've planned for, let me know first. Thanks, Nicola
