What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Saskia Mendes says directors have drifted away and 40 seats look too many. She is unsure whether to renew the Growth plan and asks for a smaller set-up or a plan to bring the directors back.
Ask: Saskia Mendes, Head of Client Operations, asked whether to renew as it stands and wants a smaller set-up or a plan to get the directors back.
Customer view: Adoption is weak, partly because training lapsed after the first wave of directors. She says they must see time saved before a review.
Next: Daniel Okafor promised something written by the end of the week. The contract in question is Growth at £44k with 40 licensed users, running to 2 Jul 2026; the outcome is not in this thread.

- Daniel Okafor 23 Jun 2026 12:50Hi Saskia, Just to close the loop on our recent conversations. Your contract runs to 2 Jul 2026, so I want to make sure we have talked properly before then, and not left it to a notice and a quote. What I can see is that use of the brain among the directors has fallen further since the spring. You have 40 licensed users on the Growth plan at £44,000 a year, and I would like to be sure that is still the right fit for how the firm works now. Nothing has come through the helpdesk, so I do not think this is a technical problem, but I would rather hear it from you than guess. How is the team finding it? And what did the directors actually say when you asked them? I would value your honest view, including if the answer is that it is not earning its keep. Could you do a short call this week or early next? Best wishes, Daniel
- Saskia Mendes 23 Jun 2026 14:22Daniel, Thanks for being straight. I will be straight back. Adoption is not where it should be. A handful of us still use it every week, and the rest have gone back to what they know. Some of that is on me, as we did not keep up the training once the first wave of directors had been through it. The directors need this, but they have to see it saving them time before a review, and right now that is not happening for most of them. What I am not sure about is whether to renew as it stands. Forty seats looks like too many for the people actually using it. Can we make it simpler? A smaller set-up, or a plan to get the directors back, whichever is realistic. I can talk tomorrow before lunch. Best, Saskia
- Daniel Okafor 24 Jun 2026 12:28Hi Saskia, Thank you, that is very clear, and I appreciate you saying it. It helps me far more than a polite answer would. Let us talk this morning's slot as agreed, and I will send the invitation straight after this. I would like to cover two things. First, which directors would use it again if the first step was easy, and what would make it easy. Second, what shape of plan would fit the people actually using it today, so that we are not asking you to pay for what you do not need. I will not promise a particular outcome before we have spoken, as I want to look at the options with you rather than hand you one. I will come back to you by the end of the week with something written down that you can take to the others. Best wishes, Daniel
