What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Saskia Mendes copied the CFO and asked what changes in the price from July and why, and for a simpler offer. She wants facts for Rupert Lasker's usage and in-house questions. Daniel Okafor promised a one-page summary.
Ask: Saskia wants a plain explanation of the price change and concrete examples of client reviews where the brain helped the directors. She wants Rupert answered with facts rather than letting the question drift.
Customer view: Saskia is a supportive champion who says the directors need it, but she is exposed to Rupert's challenge on usage.
Next: Daniel will build a one-page summary and asks Saskia for two or three client reviews. He also admits the gap between forty licensed and active users.

- Saskia Mendes 2 Apr 2026 16:18Daniel, I have seen the renewal notice you sent to Rupert and I have copied him here so we are all reading the same thing. Two questions, quickly. What exactly changes in the price from July, and why? And can we make it simpler? Rupert has been asking what we are actually using and whether we could do this in-house, so I would like us to answer him with facts rather than let it drift. From my side, the directors need this. Client reviews are where it earns its keep, and I would rather say that with a few concrete examples than with opinions. What did the client actually say, and what did the brain show us before the meeting? That is the story I want to tell. Can you let me know what you can pull together? Best, Saskia
- Daniel Okafor 8 Apr 2026 10:43Dear Saskia, dear Rupert, Thank you both. Let me take the questions in turn. On the price: the notice is the usual three months before the term ends on 2 Jul 2026. Delancey Haig signed on 3 Jul 2024 under the first price book, and a renewal after the update moves to the current list price for Growth. Any first-term discount does not carry forward. The order form will state the exact figure, and Priya will send it so that you have it in writing. Today the contracted annual amount is £44,000. On making it simpler: I would suggest one page that shows, in plain terms, who is using the brain, what they ask it, and which client reviews it fed into. Saskia, if you can give me two or three client reviews where the directors found it useful, I will build the page around those. Rupert, that would also answer your question about what you are getting for the licences, including the gap between the forty licensed users and those who are active today. I will not dress that up. On doing it in-house: I am happy to set out honestly what that would involve, and you can judge it for yourselves. Just to close the loop, I will come back to you both by the end of next week with the one-page summary.
