What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26After the quarterly review, the CFO said he was unclear what Delancey Haig actually uses and asked whether they could do it themselves for less. Daniel Okafor replied with the £44k Growth cost and promised a usage summary.
Ask: Rupert Lasker wanted usage put in context, the annual cost beside it, and an answer on whether the team could do this themselves for less.
Customer view: the CFO is questioning value, not service. Daniel's reply cites around a dozen active people against 40 licensed users, which supports the case for headroom but also shows thin adoption.
Next: Daniel owes a usage summary by client account, showing what the directors ask the brain. The term runs to 2 Jul 2026, so this is the value case ahead of renewal.

- Daniel Okafor 3 Mar 2026 17:56Hello all, Thank you for your time this afternoon. I thought it was a useful conversation, and I wanted to close the loop in writing while it is fresh. The headline is that the brain is being used steadily and more than it was last quarter, with the client-account directors making up much of that. There have been no support tickets in the last month, which is what we would hope to see when things are running smoothly. A few points we agreed to pick up: - Saskia would like the directors to see more of each client's complaints and invoices alongside the vacancies and placements, so we'll look at what is already connected and what is not. - Holly will let me know which teams are asking for access, so we can see how that sits against the licensed users. - I'll put together a short usage summary by client account, so it is clear who is asking what. Priya is copied for the commercial side. Please reply to the thread if I have missed anything. Best wishes, Daniel
- Rupert Lasker 3 Mar 2026 19:06Daniel, Thanks for the note. Useful to have it written down. I'm still not clear what we are actually using. Usage up on last quarter is fine, but up from what, and how many of our people is that? Remind me of the annual cost as well, so I can put the two side by side. Can we do this ourselves for less? Rupert
- Daniel Okafor 4 Mar 2026 15:45Hello Rupert, Those are fair questions, and I'm glad you asked them. The annual cost is £44,000 for the Growth subscription, which includes 40 licensed users. In a typical month around a dozen of your people are active in the brain, and that figure has risen on the previous quarter. So there is headroom, and part of the conversation is whether the right people have access. On doing it yourselves, I'd rather not answer that in an email. What I can do is show you, in the usage summary I mentioned, what the directors ask the brain and which of those questions would otherwise have meant someone pulling figures from several systems by hand. You can then judge for yourself whether it earns its keep. Your current term runs to 2 Jul 2026, so there is time to do this properly. I'll come back to you by the end of this week with the summary. Saskia and Holly, if there is anything you would like included, tell me and I'll add it.
