What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After the QBR follow-up of 5 Sep 2025, CFO Rupert Lasker replied on 8 Sep 2025 that he is uncomfortable paying for a tool most licensed users do not open. He asked for the annual cost to be confirmed and whether the team can do more in-house.
Ask: Rupert wants the annual cost confirmed, his own note says £44k, and a plain account of what the directors do with the brain in a normal week. He asked whether some of this can be done with what Delancey Haig already has.
Customer view: He puts the usage gap ahead of any refresher or further discussion. The thread does not show a confirmed price, so the £44k is his figure only.
Next: Daniel Okafor promised a proposed plan on adoption. The reply makes cost and value the lead issue for the Growth subscription, which covers 40 users.

- Daniel Okafor 5 Sep 2025 13:02Hello Saskia, Rupert and Holly, Thank you all for your time on the review. Just to close the loop on what we covered, and to put it in one place. Where we landed: the brain is running well and the connectors are healthy, but fewer people are using it than earlier in the year. The contract covers 40 licensed users and the number actively asking questions is well below that. That is the gap I'd like us to work on, rather than anything technical. Two things I'd suggest: - a short refresher for the client-account directors, built around the reviews they are walking into - Holly and I looking together at which questions are being asked and which sources are being used least Priya is copied so she has the full picture on the commercial side. Rupert, I know cost is the question you'll have in mind, so I'm happy to take that head on. I'll come back to you by the middle of next week with a proposed plan. Best wishes, Daniel
- Rupert Lasker 8 Sep 2025 09:29Daniel, Thanks for the summary. It is useful to have it written down. To be blunt, I'm not comfortable with a tool where most of the licensed users aren't opening it. Remind me of the annual cost? I have £44,000 in my notes, but I'd like you to confirm that is the whole of it. And what are we actually using? I'd rather know what the directors do with it in a normal week than hear about a refresher. If the answer is not much, then I need to understand what we do about that before anything else is discussed. Can we do some of this ourselves with what we already have? Rupert
