What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Final board pack from the CFO giving three headline numbers at 30 Sep 2025: contracted ARR of £1.8m, 44 customers and headcount of 35. It shows no prior-period comparison, forecast or renewal outcomes.
What it is: an internal board pack prepared by Bridget Kearsley, Chief Financial Officer, dated 16 Oct 2025 and marked Final. It covers the quarter ending 30 Sep 2025 and is for the board.
Claims: ARR is "built from executed order forms, not from the CRM deal amounts", and implementation fees and credit notes are excluded. Customers are organisations with a live contract, with same-domain CRM records counted once.
Not settled: there is no comparison with earlier quarters, no cash or debtor position, no forecast and no renewal outcomes. The pack declines to state average ARR per customer.
Currency: it describes a position as at 30 Sep 2025, so it is a year old at the as-of date and should not be read as current.
Body
BG-Demo - Board Pack - quarter to 30 Sep 2025
Status: Final Prepared by: Bridget Kearsley, Chief Financial Officer Date: 16 Oct 2025 Period covered: the quarter ending 30 Sep 2025
This pack gives the board the headline position at quarter end, with short commentary on each number. Every figure below comes from the finance system and the HR record as at 30 Sep 2025. For the avoidance of doubt, where a number is not shown here, our records do not support quoting it in this pack.
Slide: Headline numbers
| Measure | At 30 Sep 2025 | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Annual recurring revenue (contracted) | £1.8m | Executed order forms, annual subscription value |
| Customers | 44 | Organisations with a live contract |
| Headcount | 35 | Employees on the HR record |
Three numbers, each with a single source. The board should read them together: contracted subscription revenue, the number of customers that revenue is spread across, and the team that serves them.

Read the whole document (3,878 characters)
- Contracted ARR at quarter end is £1.8m.
- The figure is built from executed order forms, not from the CRM deal amounts. A CRM amount can include the one-off implementation fee, so it is not used here.
- Implementation fees are one-off and are excluded from ARR.
- Credit notes are treated as one-offs and do not change ARR.
Commentary: ARR is the number I am most willing to defend to the board, because each pound of it can be traced to a signed order form. I would be grateful if members would treat any other ARR figure quoted in the business as a claim to be checked against this one.
Slide: Customers
- 44 customers hold a live contract at quarter end.
- An organisation marked "Customer" in the CRM with no live contract and no invoices since its last term ended is counted as churned, not as a customer.
- Two CRM records with the same domain are counted once.
Commentary: The count is deliberately conservative. It will sit below the number of CRM organisations carrying the "Customer" stage, and that gap is a data hygiene matter rather than a commercial one.
Slide: People
- Headcount at quarter end is 35.
- The figure is taken from HR. A name still appearing as a CRM owner or call host does not make someone a current employee.
Commentary: Account ownership is only as good as the HR record behind it. Where an owner has left, the account is shown as having no active owner until it is reassigned.
Slide: Reading the three numbers together
- ARR and customers show how much contracted subscription revenue sits behind each account on average, but this pack does not state that average, because it would be a derived figure that the finance system does not hold as a reported measure.
- Headcount against customers gives a feel for how thinly the customer success and delivery teams are spread. That is a question for the executive team, not a number for this pack.
Slide: What this pack does not show
- No comparison with earlier quarters. Prior-period figures are not included in this version.
- No cash collected or debtor position. Collections are reported separately.
- No forecast. I will bring a forecast I can defend once the renewal pipeline has been reconciled to the order forms.
- No renewal outcomes. Renewal notices and conversations sit with the customer success team.
