What it says
What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Proposal dated 6 Jan 2025 for the Enterprise tier. Annual subscription £116k; total deal amount £146k including one-off implementation. Service commitments are not stated as figures and are left to the order form.
What it is: a version 1 proposal from Tom Ashdown for Merriott Lyle Distribution, stored as final. It is a proposal, not executed paper, so it is an open item.
Commits: nothing binding. It says "an executed order form takes precedence over this proposal" and leaves payment terms, initial term and connector commitments to the order form.
Unusual: the deal amount of £146k includes the one-off implementation, while the "annual price" of the subscription is £116k. The £116k is above the v1 Enterprise list of £110k in the company brief, and the document does not explain the difference.
Not settled: availability percentage, P1 response time, refresh deadline, term length, payment terms and connector dates are not stated. Whether an order form followed is not shown here.

Body
Merriott Lyle Distribution - Proposal
Prepared for: Merriott Lyle Distribution, Birmingham Prepared by: Tom Ashdown, Account Executive, BB-Demo Account owner: Lewis Kerr Customer success manager: Daniel Okafor Date: 6 Jan 2025 Version: 1 Status: Final
Context
Merriott Lyle Distribution is a builders' merchant and plumbing and heating wholesaler with more than a hundred branches across the Midlands and the North. Trade accounts are served by several teams at once: the branches, the key-account managers and the credit-control team. Each of them holds a different part of the picture of the same customer, in a different system.
In our conversations the same question kept coming back: when a trade customer rings about a late delivery, a disputed line or an overdue invoice, how quickly can the person answering see the whole account? Today that means opening several systems and often asking a colleague. This proposal sets out how BB-Demo's company brain would give those teams one place to ask.
What we heard
Read the whole document (6,207 characters)
- Branch teams want to see a trade account's recent orders, open disputes and previous calls without leaving the page they are on.
- Key-account managers want a reliable view of how an account is trading before they pick up the phone.
- Credit control wants to see invoices alongside the disputes and conversations that explain why a payment is late.
- Everyone wants the answer to come from the data Merriott Lyle already holds, inside Merriott Lyle's own environment.
What we propose
We propose the Enterprise tier of the company brain, built and run inside Merriott Lyle's own Snowflake account. The brain sits as one AI-queryable layer over the systems the teams already use, so that orders, disputes, calls, emails and invoices for each trade account can be read together.
Enterprise is the right fit because the need is company-wide rather than confined to one team, and because a business of this size will want single sign-on and automated user provisioning, a named executive sponsor on our side, and the Enterprise service levels for availability and first response.
Scope
| Area | What is included |
|---|---|
| Company brain | One queryable layer over the connected systems, with pages, chat and search for branch, key-account and credit-control teams |
| Dashboards | The dashboards builder, so teams can build the trade-account views they use every day |
| Identity | Single sign-on and automated user provisioning |
| Sponsorship | An executive sponsor at BB-Demo for the life of the subscription |
| Support | The Enterprise service levels for availability, P1 first response and nightly data freshness |
| Customer success | Regular business reviews with Daniel Okafor, our customer success manager |
| Implementation | A fixed-fee implementation, including support for Merriott Lyle's security review |
The user and connector allowances are those of the Enterprise tier. If Merriott Lyle needs more users or more connectors during the term, they can be added as add-ons without changing tier.
How we would deliver it
- Connect. We agree the systems to connect first, starting with the ones the branch, key-account and credit-control teams rely on most. Connectors named in the order form carry a go-live commitment.
- Prove. We run the brain on Merriott Lyle's own data, so the teams see real trade accounts rather than a demonstration set.
- Secure. We support your security review so that questions are answered before go-live rather than after.
- Roll out. We train the first teams, build the first dashboards with them, and then widen access branch by branch.
- Review. Daniel Okafor holds regular reviews to look at questions asked, who is asking them, and what the teams are getting from the brain.
Pricing
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Enterprise subscription, annual, billed in advance | £116k |
| One-off fixed-fee implementation | Included in the deal amount below |
| Total deal amount (subscription plus one-off implementation) | £146k |
To be clear about what the figures mean: the annual price of the subscription is £116k. The deal amount of £146k is the total value of the deal and includes the one-off implementation fee, which is charged once when the customer joins and does not recur. The subscription is the figure that would renew in later years.
Payment terms, the length of the initial term and the connector commitments will be set out in the order form, which sits under our master services agreement.
Service levels
Under Enterprise, Merriott Lyle receives:
- the Enterprise availability level for the brain;
- the fastest P1 first-response commitment we offer;
- nightly refresh completed before the working day begins, so branch teams start each morning on current data;
- service credits for both availability and data freshness.
The exact commitments will be restated in the order form, and an executed order form takes precedence over this proposal.
Assumptions
- Merriott Lyle has, or will have, a Snowflake account for the brain to run in.
- Merriott Lyle will name a business owner and a technical contact for the implementation.
- The list of systems to connect will be confirmed with us before the order form is signed.
- Any dedicated data residency, premium support or sandbox requirements are not included in the figures above and would be quoted separately.
