What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Whitlingham Wealth's managing director and head of client service described client questions spread over Salesforce, a portfolio system and email. Hugo has budget before year end and authority to move it forward. Priya pointed to Growth.
What happened: Priya Raman ran discovery with Hugo Bacon and Felicity Gurney. They named Salesforce, an old portfolio system, Google Workspace email and Excel as the places staff hunt for answers.
Customer view: Felicity said "It's quite bad actually." Around twenty people across client service, portfolio management and ops would use it. Security of client portfolios was the one concern, answered by the Snowflake-resident design.
Commercial: Priya suggested Growth with about 40 users and an eight-week implementation. Hugo said budget exists before the end of the year and that he can move it forward, with Terence in finance needing to sign off.
Watch: Daisy, who runs their systems and would manage the refresh, was not on the call. Priya owes a proposal by the end of the following week.

Transcript
- Priya RamanHi both, thanks for making time on a Friday. How's the week been?
- Felicity GurneyGood, thanks Priya. Getting ready for a quiet August.
- Hugo BaconYeah, pretty standard August. Cheers for carving out time.
- Priya RamanAbsolutely. Right, so as I mentioned when we spoke, the brain is built to solve exactly the problem you've got, teams trapped in multiple systems, unable to answer client questions fast. Does that still feel like the right gap?
- Hugo BaconDefinitely. Every client call, we're juggling three or four different places to find the answer.
- Felicity GurneyIt's quite bad actually. Salesforce has the relationship history, but the portfolio data's in a completely separate system, and emails are scattered. Someone calls asking for a summary and we're looking in three places.
- Priya RamanRight. Walk me through what those systems are.
- Felicity GurneySalesforce for the client record and interactions. Then we have an old portfolio system, been with us for years, that holds the portfolio and performance data. And we're using Google Workspace for email.
- Hugo BaconPlus a lot of Excel for reporting and ad hoc stuff.
- Priya RamanClassic. And how many people are hitting that problem daily?
- Felicity GurneyClient service team's about ten, portfolio management is maybe six or seven, and we've got a few in ops. So broadly everyone in those areas.
- Hugo BaconTwenty-odd people who'd benefit from this.
- Priya RamanPerfect. So what we'd do is bring those systems, Salesforce, the portfolio platform, email, together into one queryable layer. It sits inside your Snowflake instance, so it never leaves your environment, and your team gets a search interface where they're asking in plain English instead of hunting through tabs.
- Hugo BaconHow does security work? These are client portfolios, so we need to be careful.
- Priya RamanIt runs in your account, which is the key point. Your IT controls access entirely. We manage the connectors and the refresh, but the data never transits through our systems.
- Felicity GurneyThat's good to know. What's the timeline to get live?
- Priya RamanWe'd plan eight weeks. First couple of weeks are connectors and mapping, then testing and training with your team, and by week eight you'd be answering questions on your own data. Daisy would manage the refresh day-to-day.
- Hugo BaconIs she comfortable with that?
- Felicity GurneyShe's not on this call, but yes, she runs our systems. We'd bring her in.
- Priya RamanGood. The offering I'm thinking of is Growth, it's built for teams your size with multiple systems and about 40 users. So let me pull together a proposal with some numbers and we can talk timing.
- Hugo BaconWe've got budget for this before the end of the year if it makes sense.
- Priya RamanThat's really helpful to know. Who's the approver from your side?
- Hugo BaconI can move it forward. Terence in finance would need to sign off, but I've got the authority.
- Priya RamanPerfect. Right, I'll get that proposal over by end of next week and we'll find a time to walk through it. Fair enough?
- Felicity GurneySounds good.
- Hugo BaconGreat, thanks Priya.
- Priya RamanCheers, both. Speak soon.
