What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Tom Ashdown walked Dan and Emma Firth through the Starter proposal on 15 Feb 2024. Emma pressed on what the subscription costs after year one. They said they would review it and get back, with no commitment made.
What happened: Tom Ashdown recapped for Emma Firth, who missed the previous call, then took both Firths through price, service levels, data ownership and term.
Customer view: Emma asked twice what the subscription amount is, so the all-in first-year price needed splitting out. Tom gave £20k for the subscription and £6,000 for implementation.
Commercial: The terms match Starter: four connectors, fifteen users, four weeks to implement, a five percent credit on freshness and 99.5% availability. Dan asked about adding users or connectors later, which Tom said is invoiced as an amendment.
Watch: The call ended with Dan saying they would have a look. The evidence does not show an order form, a decision or a date for one.

Transcript
- Tom AshdownHi both. Thanks for making time. I know Emma was away on the last one, so let me recap quickly and then we can talk through the proposal I sent.
- Emma FirthThanks Tom.
- Tom AshdownSo the brain is essentially a unified query layer on top of your siloed systems. You connect your CRM, your calls, your finance, we handle the plumbing, and then your teams ask in plain English instead of hunting through spreadsheets. We showed the demo on your Salesforce data last month.
- Tom AshdownThe commercial side is pretty clean. Starter tier, which is where I think you sit, is twenty-five thousand five hundred all-in for your first year. That includes implementation and the annual subscription.
- Emma FirthAnd what's in the box?
- Tom AshdownFour connectors, so four systems: fifteen users, and we run the implementation over four weeks. You get a kick-off and a handover session. After that, six-monthly check-ins with us.
- Dan FirthWhat happens in year two?
- Tom AshdownYear two, the subscription renews. We'd invoice annually in advance. No implementation fee in year two, so it's just the subscription.
- Emma FirthSo what's the subscription amount?
- Tom AshdownSo the twenty-five five hundred is the all-in price for year one. The subscription element, just to be clear, is nineteen thousand five hundred annually. The implementation is six thousand.
- Emma FirthRight. And you've committed to data freshness?
- Tom AshdownThe data refreshes nightly, complete by seven in the morning your local time, on business days. If we miss that, Starter tier gets a service credit, five percent of a month's fee.
- Dan FirthWhat about if something breaks?
- Tom AshdownWe guarantee ninety-nine point five percent uptime. If we drop below that in any month, you get a credit. First response to a support ticket is four business hours for Starter.
- Emma FirthAnd we own the data?
- Tom AshdownCompletely. It's in your Snowflake account. You control it, you can export it, you own it. We run the platform but we never have access to the raw data.
- Emma FirthContract length?
- Tom AshdownInitial term is twelve months. Then it renews annually unless either of us gives ninety days' notice.
- Dan FirthAnd we can add more users or connectors later?
- Tom AshdownYeah. Any time. Add-ons are invoiced separately. Say you want five more connectors partway through the year, we'd invoice for that as an amendment.
- Emma FirthLooks reasonable. When would you need an answer from us?
- Tom AshdownNo rush, but I'd love to move to the order form within the next couple of weeks if you're happy with the terms. That locks in the timeline and the price.
- Dan FirthWe'll have a look and get back to you.
- Tom AshdownPerfect. I'll leave that proposal with you, and give me a shout if you want to run through anything else. Cheers.
