What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Demo to Dan Firth and Nicola Ellwood on Thornwick Haulage's Salesforce and call recorder data. Both were comfortable. Dan said Emma, the Finance Director, will want commercial terms in writing, so a proposal follows.
What happened: Tobias Renwick demoed the brain on Thornwick Haulage's own Salesforce and call recorder data, with Dan Firth and Nicola Ellwood attending. Tom Ashdown covered a four-week Starter setup and the six-monthly check-in.
Customer view: Dan asked about data security and about adding a finance connector. Nicola said it looked straightforward from her angle.
Commercial: Dan said Emma, the Finance Director, would want the commercial terms in writing. Tom agreed to send a proposal by end of week and to find a time with her.
Watch: Dashboards sit at Growth tier and above, so a Starter fit means natural-language search only. Emma was not on the call and has not yet seen terms.

Transcript
- Tom AshdownMorning all. Thanks for jumping on. Everyone good to go?
- Dan FirthYep, all set.
- Nicola EllwoodGood to go.
- Tobias RenwickHi there. Just to make sure, can everyone see my screen? I'm going to walk you through what the brain does with your data.
- Dan FirthYeah, we can see it.
- Tobias RenwickRight. So we've connected to your Salesforce and your call recorder. Your data's sitting in Snowflake, the system you control completely. The brain indexed your sales interactions over the past six months. Now, instead of Dan having to go and dig through your CRM and the call recorder, anyone can just ask.
- Tobias RenwickSo for instance: 'show me all lost deals in the haulage vertical.' Let me run that.
- Tobias RenwickThere we go. Twelve opportunities. We could drill in, look at the conversation notes, see what went wrong. The brain understood your business language, pulled it from two systems, and gave you an answer in seconds.
- Nicola EllwoodThat's quite quick.
- Tobias RenwickYeah. And it refreshes nightly, so the data is always current. You can build dashboards on top as well: to be precise, Growth tier and above do that, or just keep it to natural-language search.
- Dan FirthWhat about data security?
- Tobias RenwickGood question. The honest answer is: the data never leaves your Snowflake account. We run the platform, but all your CRM data, call data, everything stays inside your own infrastructure. It's encrypted in transit and at rest. You control the encryption keys.
- Dan FirthRight. And if we wanted to add another connector, say, our finance system?
- Tobias RenwickThat's the point of the four connectors you get. We'd add Xero, or whatever your finance system is, and the brain would index your invoices, costs, all of it. You could then ask: 'revenue by customer for the last year.' One question, one answer.
- Nicola EllwoodHow hands-on is the setup?
- Tom AshdownWe handle most of it. You give us read-only credentials to each system, we wire it up in your Snowflake account, test it. Takes about four weeks for a Starter. We'll do kick-off sessions with you and a couple of your team so everyone's comfortable.
- Dan FirthAnd support after go-live?
- Tom AshdownStarter tier gets a six-monthly check-in with us, and you've got a helpdesk if anything breaks. We monitor it round the clock.
- Nicola EllwoodLooks pretty straightforward from my angle.
- Tom AshdownGreat. So where does this sit with you two? Any other questions before we move to the next steps?
- Dan FirthI think we're in good shape. Emma, the Finance Director, would want to see the commercial terms in writing.
- Tom AshdownNo drama. I'll send a proposal over by end of week. We can iterate on it if you want, and then when you're happy, we move to the order form.
- Dan FirthSounds good.
- Tom AshdownCheers all. I'll get that to you, and let's find a time to align with Emma as well, yeah?
- Dan FirthWill do.
- Tom AshdownBrilliant. Speak soon.
