What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Discovery call with Thornwick Haulage's Head of Insight and Finance Director. Both describe hours lost digging through siloed systems. Starter was priced and a demo on their own data was agreed for early January.
What happened: Tom Ashdown opened by asking about frustrations. Dan Firth described CRM, call recorder, finance system and spreadsheets that do not talk to each other.
Customer view: Emma Firth called it a pure time cost on work that is not strategic. Data ownership in their own Snowflake account was important to them.
Commercial: Tom quoted Starter at £26k all-in for the first year, with four connectors and up to fifteen users. No objection to price was raised.
Watch: Interest is at discovery stage only. The evidence does not show a budget holder or a decision date beyond the early January demo.

Transcript
- Tom AshdownRight, how's your week been? Good?
- Dan FirthYeah, not too bad thanks Tom. Busy, you know.
- Emma FirthHi Tom, good to hear from you.
- Tom AshdownCheers. So Dan, you reached out a few weeks back. Before I launch into what we do, I'd really like to understand what's difficult right now. You're Head of Insight, what are the day-to-day frustrations?
- Dan FirthYeah, so the main thing is we've got data everywhere. Our CRM, our call recorder, finance system, spreadsheets. And every time someone asks a question, sales asks about a pipeline, finance wants to look at an invoice, someone has to go dig it up manually. It's hours a month.
- Tom AshdownAnd they're not talking to each other, these systems?
- Dan FirthNot at all. Completely siloed.
- Tom AshdownEmma, from your side, what's the pain?
- Emma FirthPure time cost, really. We spend hours reconciling data that should be in one place already. It's not strategic work.
- Tom AshdownSo that's where we come in. The brain sits on top of all those systems and lets you ask questions once. You connect them once, and then anyone in your team, no technical skills needed, can just ask in plain language.
- Dan FirthHow long does that take to set up?
- Tom AshdownFor a Starter implementation, usually about four weeks. We do that with you.
- Emma FirthAnd what's the investment?
- Tom AshdownSo there's an implementation fee and then the annual subscription. I can walk you through the numbers if you'd like.
- Dan FirthGo on.
- Tom AshdownRight. Starter is twenty-five thousand five hundred all-in for the first year. That covers the implementation and your subscription. You get four connectors, so four systems connected, and up to fifteen users.
- Emma FirthSo that's annually?
- Tom AshdownThe subscription is annual, yeah. You pay upfront. The implementation happens once.
- Dan FirthAnd we own the data?
- Tom AshdownCompletely. It lives in your Snowflake account. We run it but you own it, you control it.
- Emma FirthThat's important to us.
- Tom AshdownTotally get it. So look, I know that's a lot. I'd like to send over a quick one-pager, and then properly, I'd love to show you the brain working on your actual data. That's when it clicks.
- Dan FirthYeah, I'd like to see that.
- Tom AshdownBrilliant. Let's get something in the diary for early January then. I'll do some prep and we'll walk through it properly on your systems. Sound good?
- Dan FirthYeah, that works.
- Tom AshdownCheers both. I'll get that one-pager to you and we'll lock in a time. Speak soon.
